What about the iron skin?
What does the iron skin look like? It usually ruins any skin by covering everything in metal

It will ALWAYS look absolutely awfull until they can have custom iron skin textures, or they just add the option to turn off that effect in game which is sad.

Great skin nontheless has my vote kuddos to Yatus

This is untrue, the palatine skin for rhino has a energy field effect around the rhino when iron skin is active instead of a metal material.

Yes but as far as I am aware you can only use the base frame model, not primed nor deluxe skins.
Which sadly we all know that its a tin man, sole reason why im always sad to see such great creations look so bad when you use a core ability :(

Yes. This is the only time when iron skin has worked with the skin instead of covering it completely, but using it requires you to use the palatine skin and after a while that gets very boring. To be honest the effect on the palatine skin is nothing to write home about anyway

Iron skin can be hidden by energy black color.
