Kenshi
Heirs of Arak - Arakkoa Playable Race (Fixed armor clipping!)

Bucket List
I have to say; This model is amazing! High texture detail, interesting design, and it stands out easily from every other race mod on the workshop so far! I've played with this one for hours now, and really, really enjoyed the colorful, yet slightly worn details of the creature. After having played awhile with the character though, I've noticed some details that could use fixing up; So I've included a sort of bucket list for you to consider.

The textures gap around the shoulders, upper ankles and around the waist even in a normal standing posture. The shoulder issue is visible in your workshop images of the mod.

One of the tail feathers jitters around while crafting and building.

There are three feathers on the head and a few on the wings that appear to "glow" in the dark. As if they are not getting darkened by the room like the rest of the model.

Chest and hips clip through sleeveless leather jacket. (Got mine off of hobbs in The Hub.)

Hands don't interact with weapons correctly, and the foremost hand appears to be too high up on swords, as if wanting to hold it by the blade.

Wings clip through ground while running.

I'm not sure how much control you have over the mesh, but if you folded the wings (As birds often do when not using them.) I think it would stop the ground clipping and help hide the obvious issues the model has with sleeves.

Probably because it was ripped from WoW, mate: https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/wowpedia/7/7b/Outcast_Arakkoa.jpg

Maybe, but it doesn't take away from the fact that there isn't much else on the workshop that really stands out. The dark feathered model actually looks pretty good in the game, and if he has the skill to adjust and fix the mesh, might as well let him know what's wrong.

There's no "maybe" about it. I don't mind rips, I just hope he has a backup in case it gets removed or something.

Of course, even WoW ripped it off D&D's Aarakocra https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aarakocra

No, I'm saying that this model is a straight rip from World of Warcraft's files (potential copyright infringement). The author here didn't make the model, they just crammed it into Kenshi and attempted to make it work. Your comparison falls flat completely.

If Activision-Blizzard gives a ♥♥♥♥, this mod is gone yesterday, so make a back up.

I don't understand why I have to elaborate on this point. Yes, I know it's not the only model rip on the workshop, but they're all in danger of getting taken down because they infringe upon copyright.

There wasn't any need to elaborate. But I think your oblivious to the fact that we don't care, mate. So back it down a bit and chill. I'm not even sure why your in a thread designed to post bugs and suggestions, going on about rips that you yourself don't have any problems with. It's a bit off topic, and I think we need to stick to the vein of constructive criticism about the mod and how the author can improve it.

Dude F off and chill already. There are entire overhauls to games which use a ton of ripped off WoW assets to convert it into a warcraft mod that have gone completely untouched. On much popular games. I don't think Blizzard is gonna give a crap about a model rip in a relatively unknown game.

They're fine with anything as long as you aren't charging money for it. Or acting as a competitor by making a private server. Anyways if the mod author ever wants to reply feel free to let me know. I was thinking of doing some other races, and/or fixing these two since I know enough about blender to fix some stuff.

If the model was EA property, then we'd have to worry, but activision isn't near the tyrant that EA is. I used to help run a private UO server, and because we accepted donations for server costs (we got MAYBE $50 a month) EA threatened to destroy all our lives. Those guys are evil (never ever buy their games). /endrant

Funny thing looking back on this thread... literally no gamer now cares what Blizzard/WotC legal has to say about any subject ever.
