Report a translation problem
All your localization files starts with "l_english", instead of l_spanish, l_russian, l_german...
So when the text is going to be displayed on another lenguage the game displays the text placeholder (like "sce_BOMBER_HANGAR_5_gene") instead of the description.
I know you don´t have the translation for all the lengagues, but if you change the heacder for the right ones, we´ll see the english messege instead of the place holder.
I did it on my local files and works.
Thanks for all the work!
Did you subscribe to the mod, copy the files to your Stellaris mod folder, and unsubscribe from the mod?
Nope, I just modified the files in the workshop folder. i will try ot unsubscribe and subscribe again. thanks
Ahhh good catch! Yes that makes sense. Well, instead of just letting them use the vanilla strike craft, I'll use a script I wrote to search through all the files in the base game and find all occurances of the strike craft, and I'll take a look at them and replace them with the appropriate new ones and add options for the gunships and interceptors too.
I am pretty busy today, so I won't be able to get around to this till much later today, maybe not till tomorrow.
Also, thank you for reporting the bug here :-)
Hi, I tried to remove the files and subscribe again, and the localization files content are still wrong.
all the localization files like:
\localisation\spanish\l_spanish_expanded.yml
\localisation\russian\l_russian_expanded.yml
\localisation\german\l_german_expanded.yml
Is true that the title contains l_german, but not the content.
if you open them, the first words are "
l_english:
##################
#sce_Strike Crafts:
##################
"
when they should start with l_spanish, l_russian, l_german... to be able to show english descriptions for all the languages
Hope I explain myself properly
I don't know how that happens. The files are correct on my computer. It seems like occasionally when I reupload the mod for an update, it messes with the localization files. Ill still take a look at it, and reupload later, when I finish the fix I mentioned in the previous post. Thank you for the report.
.....FIXED!
@McAnan
I looked at all the localization files, and as expected, theyy all have the correct folder name, file name, and all the expected text is within the file. Try checking it again.
Understandably all instances of strike craft were wiped, so I consulted the ship design menu to correct. My ship designs, on my cruisers for example, could have the new strike craft replaced in the hangar slot; however, all my space stations had empty slots in their hangars and we cannot access them in the ship design menu. I did not test this in a battle so this may simply be a display error in the station details.
