VME PLA Mod
Why "Independent"?
Is there a way to change the faction state of the PLA? I would rather see the PLA on Redfor than Independent like the AAF is (with NATO weapons/standards)...

It's so they can fight Russia as well as the US. It would be nice to have them in multiple categories like RHS though.

I would sub a mod that make NATO into OPFOR and Russia CSAT into BLUFOR, and also a mod that change CSAT in OLD MAN into NATO

Nichols is maintaining the BLUFOR and OPFOR that you might want to check out. It is pending an update, so the latest units aren't yet present...

Making them Independent makes perfect sense, since Chinese were the third superpower in the world during the Cold War, and REDFOR is traditionally USSR and Russia.

You can change the faction of whatever you want in the editor. No separate mod is even remotely needed for that.

Example: you want to have a bunch of Russian units as a BLUFOR.

Solution:

1) Place a single BLUFOR unit, give it a high rank (Colonel or Major), then make its probability of presence 0 (zero).

2) Place your REDFOR Russian units.

3) Make the BLUFOR unit with zero probability of presence (a 'ghost' unit) their group leader. All the remaining Russian troops will turn from red to blue.

4) Launch - voila. American group leader does not exist, instead of him the highest-ranked Russian unit is a group leader, and the whole group is BLUFOR. You're welcome.

You should link these on the description of the mod so other people notice it easily! I would very much like to use the OPFOR version for an Antistasi spin-off.

Would make sense if the ROC would rule mainland china but since the PRC are just pure evil opfor would be more fitting

This is time consuming and very annoying if you're trying to do a Zeus Operation. It's better if they just place the PLA on opfor as well.

Can't Zeus just change the faction of units? Or what's stopping you from just making green the baddies in your op?

Although I still somewhat agree there should be a red version.

I did that a while back but need to update with the newest update to VME. You can find the units you are looking for in my workshop files.
