A new uber type\effect
Face it, all the ideal charges are taken, so whats the solution to this great design shell? MAKE A NEW KIND OF CHARGE!!! The name can really help with this delema, The Re-gene. Here is my idea, what about a charge that made the person you have aimed at light weight or heavy for a certain amount of time, even if your not being healed after the beam has been taken off you, like a small after effect. Now before you all start to point and laugh, let me explain what this can do in game. Think about this, what if changing your weight made you, i done know, Faster or you could jump higher (higher rocket jumps as well), or better yet both, or if you became heavy, for example: solly rocket jumpes or demo sticky jumps or even engi sentry jumpsand comes down with an earthquake like impact that damges enemies (like mantreds, but better) and sends near by enemies flying, or for other classes that lack any explosive jump a boost in knock prevention, maybe a lowered damage spectrum (takes the lower percentage of damage that almost all weps have, not the knife or insta kills of course). Now im not sure about a much needed down side, maybe a lowered uber time. Im not sure what anyone thinks about this,so comment better ideas or stat spreds, this is an idea, dont say anything unless you've looked over the whole topic

Yes but, as you said it would be a 'after effect' but that means you can buff an entire team. Im not saying this is bad, but this means you can not get rid of this effect, so basically you can make an entire team speed through peoples defences in 2fort, or push everybody of cliffs as an instakill in thundermountain. Also, you mentioned this as an uber. This second bit is not really supposed to be criticism, but more curiosity and questioning. You said at the start of the discussion/poll/thread that this was 'a new uber type/effect'. How would this uber work? Would It charge up, then you ubercharge people? Because, from what I have gathered, you said it would stay as an after effect, and if it gained up like an uber I see it very hard to stay as an after effect.

Finally one last question, what this new 'Ubercharge' be called? would it remain its name of have something else?

The uber should make all damage taken be made into health.
But thats just my idea....

it should increase speed and damage and overheal, but mark both for mini-crits

I know! The person who gets ubered becomes a Mutant with 500 Health and only has melee but its insta kill however uber runs out 50% faster making it less op

nah, I think that's not a good idea. How about the uber changes the skin color of the person? like each time you uber somebody their skin color will change to one of the colors in the rainbow. And sometimes the uber will return them back to their regular skin color. Also I think it would be nice if it were to make the head bigger or smaller and deepen the voice or make the voice higher pitched.

The uber should give a rainbow effect with team color glowning off of them. While you are ubered you should get like 5-10% move speed, jump height, explosive resistance, regen, bullet resistance, fire resistance, less airblast by pyros (pyros dont airblast you as far), 50 extra health and maybe a bit more. HOWEVER the after effects would be a lowered health, slower move speed and the like for a bit after the uber is done to make it less op.
I'm sorry if my idea seems like it would outbalance the game but yeah thats what I think, its kinda not too op.
What if it were to cause a group heal, almost like the quick fix heal, and splash heal, but very minute, like a level 2 despencer

Okay, let me remind everyone that this is was an IDEA. Raven,let me change the effect. The weight will not be the uber, it will be the normal heal effect, the medi gun would have a select type by pressing reload, like the vaccinator. A new idea came to mind when i was thinking about the beta map, astroid, what if instead of weight, it was gravity, it makes a world more since then weight, and the uber would be a gravity burst or pull. If you had the gun set to the high gravity and ubered, you would pull all player within a small radius towards you, you would also get a small damage resistance to everything, except melee, so that you woun't take direct hits for the enemy. For the burst charge, you would fling people within a radius from you away, but this uber causes you to take mini crits. The "after effect" would be like a buff banner or batalion back up boost, except it would last 3 secounds after the heal beam has been taken off you (this would not be part of the uber, this would be in general, anytime). It would be almost like the vaccinator with the charge up, with small uber meter and fast charging time. There still a lot to think about how this would work. Btw, the names would be gravity charge burst and gravity charge pull.

And for everyone else, gravity and rainbows make me cry... i mean don't mix, the color of the charge for burst would be a light gold/team color standard uber like tint, while the pull would be black/team color uber like tint. By uber i mean stock but light gold/black energy partical effects. The gold would represent the sun going super nova while the black would be a black hole pulling everything towards it.

Nice Idea m8! Oh, and by the way, I wasnt doing criticism. I was merely asking questions. Sorry if it came out aggresively! I like the idea actually, I couldnt have thought better myself, if I was putting the idea of the DNA into links. I merely thought 'medi gun uber like all'. I like how you want to think of something a bit more excentric and exotic. I like the fact they dont have an Uber, but rather bends gravity. A++ In your TF2 report :sentry:

Know what, this once about this re-gene, but now i think thier is a better design for a medi gun

The Uber would instantly heal and double the healing targets and the medics base health by two and give 10%+ more walkspeed to the medic and the healing target.

For example, regular engie=125 health 100% walkspeed
Under this ubercharge it would be 250 health with 110% walkspeed

Another example is the medics health is 150 with 107% walkspeed
Under this ubercharge the medic would have 300 health with 117% walkspeed

Heavy=300 health with 77% walkspeed
Under this ubercharge the heavy would have 600 health with 87% walkspeed
