Just Chatting
Warning:
The next update can break saves.

I will require a new mod called "DocUniversalResources"(DUR) as a dependency for DocWorld(yes, two dependencies now). DUR may/will delete resources from on-going saves.
I will also separate the usable "VFE-Props and Decor" feature into it's own mod, based on the votes and my opinion. This new mod will be called "DocVFEUsableProps".

You will need to subscribe to both mods(DUR AND DocVFEUsableProps) BEFORE loading saves. DUR will also need to loaded after every mod that touches supported resources(so just load it last), with DocWorld underneath it. This load rule properly accounts for all items it patches. I will add "loadAfter" rules as best I can so the auto-sort will get better overtime, but I cannot catch every single mod before release. We're impacting potentially 10s-100s of mods with global resource usage.

To avoid all this, switch to a local version of DocWorld until I update the mod and you're ready for a new colony.

Reason:
DUR catches duplicate resources and replaces them with one defName. This happens behind the scenes and Users will "hopefully" not notice. Duplicate items across all supported mods will be usable accross all installed mods where they normally would be. This allows me to increase my effectiveness, as well as apply my patches to a wider variety of mods, mods I won't even know I'm patching. The goal of this change is to supply mod makers/users an enhanced gameplay experience, with fewer conflicts.

Example:
You had 2 types of coal. Now 1 type. If any mod author allows a supported coal to be used in their mod, they get patched into the entire database of supported coal mods.
Now use this example for every supported resource type. You probably don't give a ♥♥♥♥. LET ME PLAY.

I expect hiccups in the beginning, because of the scope of changes, but they will be swiftly crushed and y'all will come to appreciate the changes, as you have come to know and love/hate DocWorld.

It's coming. Slower than expected but it'll get there
Any update on the progress? I could really use that architect menu sorting

You can still use the mod, it's not broken. It's just that the next version might hurt your save if you try to switch mid-game, which is why I say use a local version of the mod. Local versions are just a copy/paste of the Steam folder into the local mod folder essentially.
Well, when you say "The next update can break saves." does that mean it could break saves if you had the previous version installed on that save, or does that mean it could just break saves in general, because I have a really big, long save going right now.
Dr Zhivago  [Fejlesztő] 2021. jan. 28., 19:00
Both or neither, depending on how you utilize what I create.

If you want to use this mod without fear of save damage, use a local version from the (currently) latest release titled "DocWorld v1.2.2.23 (1.2.2753) - LAST UPDATE BEFORE DUR" on GitHub.
Don't suppose you have a vague timetable for when the update will come out? I'm trying to decide whether to start a new game or not right now. If it's just a matter of days I'll hold off, but if we are talking weeks then I'll go to local copy. Hope this isn't an annoying question.

Still need to make a few hundred more patches, then I need to look into optimization for better load times, then I'll make a video about it... So idk, depends on when I make time for all that really.
what mod order i should use on this one?
