Warframe

Auroral Greatsword ( Eclipse V3)
Copyright issues
As cool as this blade would be in Warframe, its name and appearance is too much like Solar Eclipse Leona's from League of Legends. This edges towards copyright infringement as a result.

But LoL doesn't own the name "Eclipse", it is after all a natural phenomena. And this has probably been in development since before Riots Eclipse sword was anounced, so as long as the creator isn't secretly a Riot employe stealing the companies idea its not really possible for them have been able to steal the idea from Riot.

Irrelevant if you say it has nothing to do with it or not, the risk is still there. As for the first guy, I will state that, yes, the release dates between Eclipse Leona and this skin are too close to say that it's a complete copy (or partly a copy of), but you do realize that skins in League are on a public test/beta environment long enough for people to "copy" the designs of something into other games? Generally they're on the test environment for about two weeks before they're "officially" released. The three week span between the skin going onto the testing environment and the displacing of this skin is enough for someone with the ability to actually take legal action being able to do so. The name is irrelevant when a design is close enough, the name can reinforce people's thoughts.

Now, the weapon is compareable to an executioner sword (or even an Armorslayer from Fire Emblem but that's a different can of worm). Not exactly a common blade (Outside of me thinking Eclipse Leona, I thought executioner sword, which Solar Eclipse Leona's sword is based on), so it's also possible someone without knowledge of that weapon's existance that can take legal action might end up doing so.

Then again no company can say they own the type of sword, the only thing that may risk being too similar is the Leona sword. And the main issue being the solar/eclipse theme.
(Another example of a similar sword is one of the darknut swords from legend of zelda, but here whithout the eclipse theme)

If league of lel doesn't own the name "eclipse sword" or anything like that, then there's no problem

If we go by OP's logic, Warframe stole a lot of weapon designs from Final Fantasy games and other games that feature a variety of swords in it. Yes both share the same shape, but so does a basketball and a soccer ball.
ya wanna know the prob with copy right on the appearance of generic weapon types? its bs shape wise anyone could have done this its simple and sleek anyone just drawing for the first time as a kid would have made something like this it only matters so companys get cred for lines they put on a piece of paper and paid to have it be "theirs" but as we all know the law is kinda dumb when it comes to creativity as for the name if it bares no symbolic nature to what the tennogen maker was thinking when making this thats an easy change
