Would cherry picker work for now? Im not sure how the mod will handle having all the stuff like that disabled by it but last I heard cherry picker can do stuff like that until ratkin get's a lite edition

Technically yes, but there are so many small bits and pieces that it would be exceedingly annoying to do. That falls under the "suffering" part. If they gave a non-race-locked version that also didn't have all the strong buffs on it, that would be even better, frankly, but I'm not holding my breath for that, since that'd be a lot of work by comparison.

I did try the cherry picker route and your right. Turns out if you disable everything but the race then you get naked ratkins spawning in the world with no weapons.. which literally makes them a joke to kill/enslave for my human meat farm. Unbalanced? Definitely. Worth it for the slight performance gain in a big modlist? Also definitely.

Really unfortunate most race mods don't have lite editions given how many people have large modlists and just want the race and nothing else to help with load times and ingame performance. Would think lite editions would be standard by now

I don't even have a large modlist (and actively recommend against them); I just don't like all the added stuff that fleshes out a race in non-canon ways.

Is there a way to make clothes universal? What should I change in modification files?

I too would like to see a lite version with just the race, as the weapons, armor, clothes all feel excessive and really get in the way of everything else. So it'd be nice to just have the race and have it use regular weapons/armor without issue.

just for reference to those saying cherry picker is too much. I spent maybe 5 minutes total going over the entire list to remove production/items/research. It's not hard this is just a QoL request on my part.

So you can filter by defs and mod pretty easily just slapping ratkin in the search. You can also filter by specific def types such as clothes, pawns, weapons and such. Owl just added click and drag functionality before I tried/posted that as well. So it was simply clicking and dragging down large sections of things I wanted removed. I did spend some time going back over for missed things but it wasn't bad.

So all research, clothes, weapons, were removed pretty cleanly. Only issue I am having is removing the power generation work type from my work tab, because I use Fluffys Work Tab so they just aren't playing together to remove it from my UI.

Ah yeah, that's a far cry from how it was when I originally posted this. When you used the search/def split, you had to do it for each individual item, too; glad to hear it was made a lot easier since, at least.

I would like to see just the race added. Ratkin Plus over rides character creation and I am always ratkin on a new game making characters. I can't get rid of them.

I dont know if someone already made it or not but currently I am trying to port ratkin race into standalone mod https://github.com/momozahara/RatkinRaceStandalone
