Sid Meier's Civilization V

Sid Meier's Civilization V

Historical Spawn Dates
Spawn Dates
I was just curios what the spawn dates are for the civs, I have no desire to change them, just want to know what they are. Can anyone help me with this?

if you go through your computer you should be able to find a file about this mode. There should be an SQL file inside that shows all spawn dates for all civs and city states, plus all starting units.

It would be really convenient if this information was on the mod page.

What about the Babylonians? They were pretty much the first ever civilization (hence, the fact that its own freaking UA is called "cradle of civilization) so I think it should be 4000 BC

any civ not listed (Egypt, Babylone) spawn at the game start.

Why is England in 900AD?
It was a country just after the link between the country and Europe melted. Then the Romans took over, but this game is not for historical conquest accuracy

So, yeah, it would be better if England was (much much) earlier.

oh, actually if that bugs you, you can just go to the sql (usually located in user > you > my documents > my games > sid meier's civilization 5 > MODS > historical spawn dates > sql), find the civ you want to change the spawn date of, and change it to whatever you want o: minus marks bc, and no minus marks ad :D
Why is Singapore AD200? Earliest records of Singapore is the 1300s, and was a British Colony from 1819-1945 excluding the Japanese Occupation and became independent only in 1965.

British Ninja, during the 10th century christianity and nations such as wessex and mercia appeared in britannia. England would appear shortly after wessex unifies most of what we call England. So, this is a VERY accurate start date for england

Rome should be 753 BC

Armen: England wasn't "England" until after the English (Angles) arrived, after the Romans left.

If England starts just after teh Ice Age, then so should just about every over Civ.

Korea at AD 918 wtf? Korea was the one of most civilized country in East Asia at ancient times already, following China. Who did make this map?

england wasn't a country before the romans came into the region. The anglo-saxons came much later,

Why 1500 AD for Shoshone? We've been around a lot longer than that
[MET] Aditsan 8 Sep, 2015 @ 4:34am
Are you sure the Shoshone were around a lot longer than that and not part of a different tribal culture before breaking out into their own? That happened with the Cherokee, they were technically around longer but were Iroquois and not Cherokee back then.
