Creating new Groups and Battalions
How to create your own custom group:

1. Place a group on map and module “Register Battalion Group”
2. Synchronize group leader with the module
3. Fill in all fields in the module. Beware, the name of the group must be unique!

Now the group is part of the battalion of selected side! You can add new group to custom, or even existing battalion.

Creating custom battalion:

1. In Battalion module, select “Custom Battalion”
2. Place “Create Custom Battalion” module, and fill all fields
3. Place units or groups which should be present at bases you own, and synchronize them with “Create Custom Battalion” module (synchronizing leader of group will auto register all units in the group)
4. Have at least one registered custom group, so you have some groups to request.

Do the units have to not have custom loadouts? I am designing a mission and experiencing some errors.

I tested this out in vanilla units and no luck.

you can make any unit with any loadout you choose and sync them to the custom battalion module. with vanilla units, there are already presets, just put down a battalion module foe vanill aunits

Custom loadouts will be ignored, I don't scan the unit as much, but it's interesting idea to do that.

yeah, i found out you cant do that earlier when i tried modifiying a syndikat team

It is all in the editor, stored in the misson file. The custom battalions are made in the modules.

@Jaeger: If you enter Arma 3 folder and hidden folder !Workshop, there is example mission Arma Commander mod. You can copy it to MPMissions in your Arma 3 profile, you can to play with it in Eden.

It will give you basic idea how it works, you can modify it from there. If you need more help, there are helpful people on Arma Commander Discord, too.

Hey, kind of a noob question here. How do I find the Battalion icons for creating a custom battalion?

You can find them in ingame debug consoles -> Config ->configFile -> CfgFactionClasses, and select for example BLU_GEN_F - you will see paths to icon and flag. All main factions have these, so you just copy them.
