Feel free to send me ideas that you have for things I could add. If I like your idea, I'll definitely try to add it.

Maybe you should start with either different hair styles, and or different starting clothes. After that, you can start trying to make armors.

Also, if you feel like you can, try to differentiate the body sprites from the basic human sprites.

Well, the hairstyles are fine, I think, as they are. They're human hairstyles, yes, but the antlers are as much of a touch as I'm likely to add.

The clothes and armors are definitely on my to-do list.

It may not be obvious, either, but I did add hooves to the sprites, as barely there as they are. I'm not sure what else I would do to differentiate the body sprites, y'know?

Considering their name... you could add a short deer tail, as well as an alternate color on their body that could co-respond with either nothing (if you don't care to allow people to recolor that.), or their hair or underwear color... maybe even eye color, and you could make some clothes that better show off the hooves, but I'm guessing that's already happening, since it's on your to-do list.

Those are some pretty good ideas! Thank you for the suggestions.

Also, a few other things that I thought about, just now... you could add tufts of fur (either to replace the patterns, or alongside them), and if you have both patterns and tufts, you could just have them run off of the same option, so they'll always be the same color... also, just a quick thing, you could probably give them a longer snout.

I have some ideas for weapons and armors, but I figured we'd cross that bridge when we get to it.

I'd love to add all this stuff, but I need to wait to work on these details until after the mod works as is, haha.

Fair enough.

So, sorry to post this here, but do you think you're about ready to start adding the tufts of fur, or... would you rather go without them?
sparklerthesableye  [developer] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 12:47pm
I think I'm going without the fur tufts
RandomOtter 23 Dec, 2018 @ 4:29pm
Alright... would you like me to reveal the weapon and armor ideas, then?
sparklerthesableye  [developer] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 4:52pm
Yeah, definitely

Well, let's see, for the iron -> durasteel weapons, greatswords might look serrated, and a bit like a giant bone saw, while daggers could look like hooks. Axes and hammers should look... relatively normal for these tiers, however, at the violium / ferozium / aegisalt split and their solarium upgrade, the axes should look like those reflex testers, while the hammers could look like sledgehammers. One of the craftable guns might even be a flamethrower, labeled 'Perscription', or something similar... which should use the aegisalt part of the tier... or if that's too much, a machine pistol with a fire element would work, too.

As for the armor, the lower tiers could look sort of, er... 'post apocalyptic' as a theme, they'd look rusty, burned, and just kind of bad, and at the split, ONE of the tiers of armor should look like a nurse's uniform, while another could look like a doctor's uniform. And, if possible, these two could provide some sort of heat or fire resistance, while the others do... other things, again, if possible.

If you don't want the nurse / doctor's uniform to be in violium, you could go with guard and elite guard armor, which would look like a polished, and modified version of the tungsten and durasteel armors, respectively... and if you don't want the uniforms to be in the ferozium part of the split, you could just go with parkas, with the justification being that some of them fled to REALLY cold planets to try to get away from the doctors... and the ones who stayed on such planets were apparently known for making staves, and generally being magical... WERE. You could come up with the how and why, but they aren't around anymore... unfortunately, I don't have any ideas for an alt aegisalt, but I'm sure we can come up with something.

Sorry for such a long post.

Oh, it is COMPLETELY okay! I love your ideas, and they've given me a few ideas, myself!

I'm definitely having the nurse/doctor set be aegisalt, and I'm definitely on board with the parkas and 'polished upgrades.' I

I have an idea for the 'prescription' gun, too: I could potentially use the Dragon Head Pistol as a base, since it'll be a fire weapon.

I honestly love the idea of having my player character be the only magic user left of the species. I had the idea, just now, that the others could have been killed off just because of an error in the recipe that made the armor lack cold resistance, and that the player character, being rather smart, could either fix the issue or use an EPP to get around it.

I also love the idea of all the weapons being medical supplies. Should I make a stethoscope whip?
RandomOtter 24 Dec, 2018 @ 9:05am
Yeah, sounds like something that could happen... all that magic, and they forget their basic cold resistance. As for the whip, that sounds like a good idea, heh.

Also, another idea, I know it's not meidicince-related, but perhaps the spears could be electrical, and look like cattle prods... the doctors had to lead them into their offices, somehow, right?

Oh, that's hilarious! Definitely doing that, haha

I made the staff look like a thermometer, but with blue instead of red
