Divinity: Original Sin 2
Enemy Upgrade Overhaul
Make enemies give exp and items of its vanilla level
Probably the author is not here anymore but I hope he can read this. Out of all the difficulty mods out there, I like this mod the most. The Devine Unleased and Divine War is too much for me to like, and the More Enemy / Random Enemy just don't make sense as they give more exp than actually make the game more difficult.

In my opinion, what makes the game more difficult are:
- Enemies are higher level
- Enemies have more buffs / more smart

What makes the game easier are:
- More exp (more enemies or higher level enemies)
- More over levelled items (by killing higher level enemies)

For the former part, this mode did it quiet well, but it doesn't for the latter part. There are 2 things I hope that the author can do to this mod:
- Make it gives the original exp, e.g: if my party is level 4, and I kill a level 2 enemy, who are scaled to level 6, instead of giving me the exp of a level 6 enemy, it gives me just the exp of the original level 2 enemy.
- Make the dropped items' levels random from the lowest to the highest level. E.g: in the example above, the dropped items will have random level between 2 and 6, instead of always 6.

I don't know if this is possible, but I feel like it's not, because this is rather common sense, and I know I'm not the first who thought of it. For a game with vast number of modders like DoS2, they must have thought of it, and if there isn't any mod like that, it must be the system limitation, not the modders' limitation. Still, I hope that the author can give me a confirmation (if you're still there).

A side note:
I also tried the "Scale Exp By Player Level", which imo is the most advanced exp scaling mod out there. It scales the exp gained to the minimum of (monster level, party level), and also has an option to do things similar to the gain 25% / 50% / 75% less exp. However, I cannot help me achieve the above mentioned. Some examples:
- When fighting a level 2 enemies with a level 4 party and with +2 modifier, without the scaling mod, I will get exp of a level 6 enemy => 4 levels difference; with the mod, it's downed to a level 4 enemy, but still it's 2 levels difference (250 exp vs 800 exp, which is 3 times more already).
- A common sense is that I can also change the percentage to like 0.3, so I gain only 30% of the exp. It works, but not for all cases. In the example above it's correct, but if I fight a level 4 enemy with my level 4 party, then instead of getting the original level 4 enemy's exp, I get a 30% of that amount instead.

I thought that this mod is the best place to make the change, because I think when the enemies are leveled up, the mod may store their vanilla level somewhere, and make use of that in the exp calculation?? But well, I'm not a modder so I don't know things in and out. For now the closest I got is by setting using the Scale Exp mod and also set the percentage to 0.5.

hi did you find a way to combat the exp issue better? I am about to start a new playthrough and would love to find a mod that can combat the extra exp from higher level enemies (than vanilla lower level enemies)
