Supper's Combat Overhaul
An Unofficial Guide on How to Not Die in Supper's Combat Overhaul (For those who are willing to jump into this mod or those with problems with dying 100 times over.)
Dear supper, if you are reading this, you are wondering on how i mastered this mod? Simple, yet really hard for those who are starting out, so that's why i'm creating a guide to this fun, yet difficult mod. Be aware that this isn't official by the mod's creator Supper him/herself, so you'll have to cope with my guide for now.

----

The Basics of this Overhaul

Now, if you are all wondering and likely yelling at the screen 'Why is this enemy takes longer than 45 years to kill?!' it's because you aren't learning on how this mod works or you just complain just because the enemies takes forever to defeat.

Well, you're wrong and i'll explain it to you that you can beat an enemy if you have enough damage and defense, as well as plenty of dodging and a little bit of strategy to it.

Right now, if you are starting out, i recommend you to find better weapons in the wild and in structures that are useful to you. Like for say, an Uncommon spear that deals 12.5 damage per swing but also has Blast and Titan, you are dealing more damage than your previous weapon dose.

It also makes it a little easier to kill enemies faster if you have armor. And i also highly recommend finding Rare to Legendary grade armor if you want to survive and not die faster. But also, the better your armor has buffs, the easier and faster you kill your enemies.

That's what i found out by these specific buffs not only to help you out to kill enemies faster, but also you'll burn way less healing items in the long-term (See down below for Armor & Weapon Modifier Buffs.) as well as increasing survival rates from 30% to 96% (If you are lucky.).

So users, what i mean by that is that if you have the right equipment with enough buffs for your weapon & armor, you can defeat an enemy in less than 4-5 seconds. 3-2 seconds, if you are very skilled at quickly attacking the enemy.

But what about being ambushed with three or more enemies? Well, there is several ways to easily dispatch a group of them. But the coward way of doing this will lead to your sudden, fast demise. So, i wouldn't recommend you kiting a group of enemies as they will quickly take away 87% to 100% of your HP if you get clumsy, didn't react well, or outright plain stupidity.

I recommend Heal VII or higher if you want to take out multiple enemies along with Shield as well, as they both can save your ass a ton of HP! Damage XI or higher can do the trick too if you are in dire of a damage boost!

So now you have learned the basics (Or my 'advanced' understanding of the mod's basics.), let's move on to the next section of the guide!

This next section of this guide is extremely important, although it's an incomplete list of buffs that most of them i don't know what it dose, but some of them i do know what happens with it. So, bear in mind if you do know what some of these buffs are, add it to the list in my post.

----

Weapon Modifiers & Armor Buffs and Resist Boosts

Now we move on to the important stuff, the Weapon Mods and the Armor Buffs and Resist Boosts. Now this is an incomplete list on how many buffs i witnessed on how it activates. Some of them i know is listed and in moderate detail on what it dose, most of them are unknown to me.

Most of them are helpful, some of them are useful for other means, and few of them are rare, yet extremely powerful buffs if you found them if you are really lucky.

Here's the incomplete list of Armor Buffs:

Heal III and Higher - Every time you kill an enemy, your HP regenerates on how fast your Heal Level was. If was XI for example, your HP regenerates rapidly. It dose have a cooldown, but it's short for the right reasons.

Shield I and Higher - A regenerating, recharging shield that protects you from enemy damage. The higher the Shield level, the more you resist damage while your shield aura replenishes faster.

Nanobots - ???

Barrage - Unleashes a barrage of missiles that home on enemies if you take damage by an enemy until your energy bar runs out. Useful in higher tiers.

Crash - Makes the enemy you are hitting 'crash' into glitches. (Purely Aesthetic?)

Demi - ???

Wraith - ???

Is there is any more Armor buffs i'm missing, add into the post if you are willing to.

----

Next is the Weapon Modifiers. Now, each weapon you pick up is randomized in what damage, DPS, ability, and Modifiers. Sometimes it's going to be a very reliable weapon in the long-term, others are short-term. Although few are extremely long-term, it depends on the rarity, the modifiers you're getting, etc.

Most of them i know it helps you in the long run, and pretty darn effective at crowd control. So, each weapon modifier is not going to be useless at all, although some are less powerful. They either increase your attack speed, sometimes it's going to explode each time you attack, and the list goes on.

Here's the short list of Weapon Modifiers:

Titan - Increased Knockback by a bit. (?)
Feeble - Increases attack speed by a little bit.
Blast - Each time you attack, it creates a blast, dealing AoE damage in multiple enemies.
Dart - Shoots a dart each time you did a swing.
Multi - Only applies to Ranged weapons, doubles the projectiles at a extra cost of energy. Extremely effective for Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers.
Cloud - Creates a damaging cloud.
Bullet - Shoots out multiple bullets from your melee weapon.
Venom - Inflicts a damaging poison into enemies.

Now, i can't list them all at once due to time restraints on my part, but you guys can help out to uncover each and every modifier you have. So, you get the picture. The more modifiers your weapons has, the more deadly it gets for the enemies.

How's that for complaining about the stupid enemy not dying when you can have a mortality bomb on your enemies that ends them in 3-5 seconds?!

----
Conclusion (Yes, i know it's not much of a guide, but it'll help out a little more.)

Anyways, due to time restraints and my upcoming appointment, i will call a conclusion because if i work on this guide any further, i might have to be late on this. So now, since you have finished reading my guide, you are starting to realize that complaining about the enemy killing you 800 times has you having no armor this whole time wasn't a good idea to start with.

However, i can say this and is that if you don't have the right equipment and weapons, this mod will go Sekiro/Dark Souls on you. You will die a lot in this mod, even if you have excellent armor as well as having an effective weapon.

I died in that mod about 1-2 times, and even then, it's hard as balls to master. But sooner or later, if you master this mod like i have, you'll be in the Chuck Norris of modded Starbound. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, if you are good at having a good time challenging tough enemies, i recommend reading this guide after you subscribe to this mod!

Till then guys, i hope you understand the basics, etc.

And Supper, do me a favor in moderating this guide for me, just in case if some crybabies come in complaining about the guide being useless. I would appreciate it. :)

So, i'll see you guys later.

The numerals after armor buffs do not correspond to how potent the buff is but rather how it activates, More accurate information about armor buffs can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1595801436/2521353993641392834/.
