Possible lost items on delivery
kakarl reported items being lost on delivery. I am currently testing this with a truck network .. here is what I see::

First off, Logs => Planks & Sawdust

I think that 1 log does not produce BOTH a plank and a sawdust .. just one OR the other . .so if you deliver 24 logs .. you will get out 12 planks and 12 sawdust if nothing is lost.

I am currently running a test .. BUT .. I need to get a user of planks set up to gather more numbers .. but so far, I delivered 57 units of logs and I have gotten out 51 sawdust OR planks.

The 6 missing were all in one truck .. they seemed to disappear.

More to follow.

(I am just running one truck so I can easily track this)

On my side, with 57 logs, only 20 were transfered to the saw mill ( click on saw mill -> details panel) got 20 on logs row. 37 logs just disappear. On the next delivry, some time I got 5, some time 10. The same thing append with others industries. I havn't tried with truck lane yet, only with trains. I've tried changing some config in .con files (\workshop\content\446800\1598703558\res\construction\industry\) but unsuccessful

I thought the same thing initially.. How did you do the math though (and I am not trying to be funny or demeaning :D).

What I mean is this.

Logs can go several places and you have to take them all into account. Thsy can go:

1. In storage
2. Be transformed into 1 plank
3. Be transformed into 1 wood powder

Those planks and wood powder can be in two places.. In storage or in a station connected to the saw mill.

So one log will make ONE of those things. So you need to add up all the increases in each of those areas. Also.. How many seconds in a day for you (2000 is the default.. He said something about 8000 causing issues as well)

I've tried with trucks lane and the same problem happen, but I found something interresting happening in both case (train and truck)
I'm testing with oil because it take fewer steps to final delivery, but it all the same problem.

I'll try to be as clear as possible. It's a bit hard to describe the situations.

1) I've monitoring crude oil production. When a unit of oil is produced, stock goes +1, when it transfered to the cargo station, stock go -1 and cargo station go +1 (which is normal). First, the cargo station fill up really slower with this mod than the vanilla game (without any mod). Second, some unit of oil are produed (+1 in stock), then transfered to the station (-1 in stock), BUT the cargo station never received the crude oil (no +1 in station). This is not normal...

2) I have 3 stations, station 1 on oil well, station 2 on refinery, Station 3 on city in industrial area. (I'm testing with oil because it take fewer steps to final delivery, but it all the same thing). Truck A take crude oil from station 1 to station 2 and bring back fuel to station 1. Track B take fuel to station 1 and delivery fuel to station 3. The intial problem still there, unit are lost during devivery at station 2 but, there again, fuel unit are also lost when unloading in station 1. Track A come back with 6 unit of fuel. Unload them all, but those unit do not appear in the cargo station (or only 1 ou 2) and are not available for truck B. And , of course, they can't be consumed by any industry, it's only a transfer from one lane to a other.

So what i'm begin to think, is maybe the problem is not about industry how do not grow or have production problem, but maybe it's a bug with cargo station when unit are added to them. Some are lost, which cause problem with industries production. Problems always happening when unit are added to cargo station. (industries send to station and train ou truck unload to station). When they are removed, by train or truck, nothing lost.

@jhuges To answer your question, for about 20 logs, I got:

1. In storage : random between 0 and 10 (less than more). So I would say 6 for this exemple
2. Be transformed into 1 plank: 0
3. Be transformed into 1 wood powder: 0

After train delivery, those 6 in storage will be transformed either in plank or wood powder. The 12 remaining simply disappear.

If I stop the train and wait a 50 logs to deliver (which take to much time compared to original game whitout mod), I'll get:
1. In storage: random between 5 and 20. for this exemple, I would say 16
2. Be transformed into 1 plank: 0
3. Be transformed into 1 wood powder: 0

The 16 will then be transformed in plank or wood powder. 34 remaining simply disappear.

are you using the stock cargo stations or cargo statoins from a mod. Are you playing with 2000 seconds per day .. or a different value?

Stock cargo and 2000. I've remove all mod execpt industry DLC

I have noticed the same problem. It get's worse with each "cargo hub" you add in between. If I have a transport line with Trucks to Train station A from there with Train A which ships the items to Train station B from there with Train B to Train Station C and from there via an line from only ONE truck station with Trucks to a truck station in range of only one Industry.
I've noticed that at each "hub" I lose between 10-30% of the Cargo.
This already happens very early in the game.

So the first "truck" with 5 Items arrive at the Cargo station sometimes only 4 or even 3 items are transferred to the Train station.
So to have a train filled with 50 items I need between 12 or 16 full "trucks" instead of just 10.

If the train then picks up 50 Items at Train station A and unloads all of them at Train station B only like 35-40 appear at the other terminal of Train station B.
If the second train picks up those 35-40 items and unloads them at Train station C only about 25-30 actually appear at the truck station that starts the line to the truck station at the industry. And again each "truck" filled with 5 items results only adding only 3 or 4 items at the industry.

So in worst case in that scenario from the initially produced 80 items only ~15 make it to the actual destination, the rest simply vanishes into oblivion.

i am noticing the same issues i am also running 4x slower but it seems to only be this last version of your mod
Priwi 8 Feb, 2019 @ 9:13am
I also had the same issue, but it seems to disappear when using the 4x slower Mod.
zuki ed 14 Feb, 2019 @ 12:42pm
I have also this issue, it was so bad that I wasn't making any profits so I had to give up on the mod, will try the 4x slower mod though and see if that helps.
Tried the 4x mod, first few deliveries of Oil get processed by the refinery, and then it gets delivered and vanishes.

Where did you deliver to? The town or another production facility? Factories always fill up all of their storages, wether they can deliver or not. So maybe those got processed into a different product.

Lost of items is known problem that afflicts all mods of new industry and now this one sadly. The problem has never been solved...and i start to think that never will be. It's an enormous pity!! Those losses make the mod unplayable in hard and medium difficulty because of the consequential economical losses. If you accept to close an eye on this bug and play in easy mod the game would be really really boring :cozycastondeath:
Priwi 2 Mar, 2019 @ 1:05pm
@IraRock try out the "Time Progression 4x slower" Mod, it fixed the issue for me.
After I've installed and enabled this DLC, I've seen that a lot of time, buses and trains don't working as well. The problems are missing passengers during download. If a train or bus has 10 pax (i.e.) onboard and all get off, sometimes nobody exit from the station or the bus. Sometimes the download is partial: get off by the train or bus only few pax respect total onboard. I think that I'll remove this DLC until somebody fixes it.
