But do you think its possible to contact the ACF dev team about putting it on workshop too?
They could split it up into several smaller packs that make up the ACF we know and love.
For example:
Pack 1: Engines
Pack 2: Explosives and armor
Pack 3: Weapons and vehicles.
Hope i helped you guys.
@ message above: thats a good idea.
Well the least you can do is try and contact them with these suggestions, I respect that you guys have your hands full ATM but i dont even know how to contact them.
I know you are just asking for help, and hoping a group with a reputation would back you up, but that's not our place to ask other developers like that. Our reputation marks us as an authority on interactive components like wiremod, it does not make us "masters of the workshop". We would probably only serve to upset the ACF devs.
Sorry.
>Multiple packs
TDM did it, Sakarias did it, The countless amount of S-cars spam by Lucky9two technically is, Doc did it with his Source vehicles pack, So why not ACF?
If you have more questions, feel free to visit our Github/FP page and ask us there: https://github.com/nrlulz/ACF

@Anticept given the great amount of nice things the wire team has given gmod over the years, I think you'd have to try especially hard to upset us :p
Nice to have an ACF dev on this thread! When you say "Core components" Does that mean that the ACF on the workshop wont work without Github? I hope not, Seeing as you guys can anger people with that.
We're still throwing ideas around right now but we're likely going to partition our stuff into "Engine soundpack", "Weapon soundpack" etc, clearly marked as supporting content with a link to an ACF installation guide. These smaller chunks will be better for the user because they need to redownload less when a pack gets updated.
We're really not interested in the extra effort (and potential cost) of distributing ACF on workshop in its entirety right now. However unlikely, that might change down the line. Who knows?
I appreciate the wire devs hosting this discussion on their page but I'd like it if this was continued on one of the links above so we can bother them no longer and the other ACF devs can have a say :)
Best of luck on getting ACF in its entirety on the workshop.
