How do people want this doing?

Basics: This will be an item that will deal a weapon sized amount of damage through unarmed combat.

I have had 2 ideas which I think are feasible for me.

Idea #1: Wolverine claws based off of rings.
Pro - Easy to model and to look good on hand.
Con - Will only appear on right hand even with left hand rings mod.
Con - Will use ring slot and as it will be enchanted, will lose ring enchantment.

Idea #2: Claws based off of gauntlets.
Pro - Claws on both hands, will still look good.
Con - More work so will take quite a bit longer.
Con - Will take over gauntlet slot and as it will be enchanted, will lose arm enchantment.
