So I don't know what the issue is here but I enabled all the mods I had (I'd guess around 20-30) and hit play. I'm used to it taking upwards of 15 minutes to load the game with a lot of mods enabled, and I keep an eye on the Mod the Spire window to see it loading all the stuff up and know it's doing it's thing, and it was, so I chatted with friends and youtubed in the meantime.

However, today, it took a whole HOUR, during which I reached a point where I couldn't do anything else on my PC because this thing was eating every ounce of CPU I had, before I heard the game play it's logo sound and then the wind of the main menu (though the game was still just a black screen), but Mod the Spire was still loading a ton of stuff. I was ready to give up, especially since it was locking my PC down pretty much, but I also figured I didn't want the last hour to be a waste, so I decided to try waiting it out. ANOTHER HOUR LATER it STILL wasn't done and my PC had become literally inoperable and I had to hard reboot by holding the power button on my tower.

I don't want to outright blame MTS itself but my PC can run ♥♥♥♥ like Skyrim just fine, so it's baffling to me that this happened. Nobody else seems to be having this issue though so I'm wondering what the hell the problem is. Is it something as simple as trying to have too many mods active at once? Or too many complex mods maybe? I've heard the ORDER mods are loaded can be an issue, but I didn't actually know you could pick an order and even though I do know now I have no way of knowing what the order SHOULD be. Could that be the issue instead? If so I have no idea where to even start with that.

Apparently playing in windowed mode as also known for making the base game take ages to load even, so I imagine with mods it's even worse too, but there's no way I'm playing full screen. I like being able to see my message windows or youtube.

Suggestions very much welcome because this killed 2 precious hours of my night after a really bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day and safe to say my mental health has take a pounding. Now I literally don't even have time to play it today at all. I want to avoid this issue in the future. Any help would be much appreciated. x
