I do like the detailing, especially the trim, it's just you have to look out for those key features i.e. the thumb, wingtips, bullets, peacemakers and make them look unique. In its current state I wouldn't buy it over the Devil Ranger as it does a similiar thing but slightly less appealing in my opinion.
For the record here is a wip to show that it was made from scratch: https://imgur.com/a/yTKbHkj
My initial thoughts were also that it's too similar to Devil Ranger. However, after looking at both I realized something - they're both clear "upgrades" of the vanilla Mesa skin (unlike, for example, the Mesa Prime skin which looks quite different or the Persidio skin which looks vastly different). I'm guessing this has to do with model vs. texture differences.
I also realized I my dislike for the base skin was so big that I never even commited its details to memory - I always used the Persidio skin until Mesa Prime came along.
All in all, I like both this and Devil Ranger. They're not that similar, and they're both good skins.

I may have stuck to the natural flow of the model in parts that I thought didn't contribute much to the overall look (like the hands and feet) but I did try to make it as individual as I needed it to be
