Presumably, not save compatible because of map changes? Is there a way to either keep playing the old version, or to transfer over some progress to the new one? I like to build up in early stages and lay the foundation to an eventual emperor claim, and haven't been able to get there in the last couple of versions. So I still haven't seen all the good emperor-level stuff you've added. I know I can import a character from an edited file, so level, skills and money is no issue, but reputation, renown, fiefs, improvements, latifundia, companions, town, senate, lord and lady relationships and faction membership (I need to start from rags so that Superbius/Avaricia and Biggus events would happen) have to be built up again. Maybe there are or can be easily added cheats to help get a player to a similar position in a new version? For example cheats to give +x relations with all(or random) Roman lords, +x renown, +x gold, +x honor?
The meat not rotting change presumably applies to beef also?
Sailors. Are these actual units that will take the field with you? I fear after a couple of battles, their numbers will dwindle if they are light infantry, since they'd be in the line with heavy infantry who have much better survivability. Is there a way to treat them as supply train personnel and not take the field? Maybe similar to the feature you added for camp followers (though I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know if it's appropriate).
First way: you can go to ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\48700\1612746028
That is the mod folder
Copy it to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules and rename it to "Aut Caesar aut nihil (old)"
Then go to
...\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\1612746028
That is where the mods savegame are stored, they are numbered as sg00.sav (savefile of first slot) sg01.sav (savefile of secound slot etc.)
Copy the save games you want to use for Aut Caesar aut nihil (old) module
Then go back to ...\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames and great there a new file, called "Aut Caesar aut nihil (old)" (it must be exactly the same name as the name of the previous file)
Thats it, when you select the module "Aut Caesar aut nihil (old)" you should have the save files now and it wont get overwritten
An general note: For NON-steam workshop mods the file where save games of a mod are stored has the same name of the mod. For steam workshop mods the file has the mod id (this mod has id: 1612746028)
(btw, this is the usual way I use steam workshop, I only download the mod, then copy it from that steamworkshop folder to the normal mod folder of warband and rename it, that way you wont destroy your game due to updates)
Second way:
At game start use the toga start option, then you start as tribune of Rome. Enable cheatmode under the diplomacy settings. Then you can increase reputation and renown under camp menu -> take an action -> CHEAT MENU
(There is also a second cheat menu with other debug cheats I sometimes use. In this other menu you find a cheat which gives you 100,000 denars)
You can then increase lord relation by talking the respective lord. But this can be time consuming
I could add a cheat which randomly improves relation with lords, that wouldnt be hard. But a cheat which gives you latifundium would be a bit more tedious to make I think
meat will also not rot, yes
Yes sailors are currently a normal unit. They give bonus once they are in the party.
And Anicetius wont give a bonus, I decided that it wasnt worth the effort, sea travelling isnt that important at all.
