Praefectus Praetorianii (Can you become one?)
I know you can own lands as a Roman Commander (Tribune, Praefectus Militarum, and Legatus) But like is it possible to become a Governor (Praefectus Praetorianii)? I know you can usurp Towns and stuff but I want to know if it's even in the Mod and if so how do you become a Governor so you don't need to deal with Constant Campaign Requests and can just chill in your Region.

I don't think it is possible. Even if you govern a town in what's normally a senatorial province you are still expected to fight. This is wargame, after all. But, if you want to, you can ignore requests for campaign participation, I think it just costs you a little relationship with the marshal, which is easy to repair at a party.

I mean this is mainly a Sandbox Game. War is just a Aspect of the Politics and Money Grinding in this game. But I guess you still have a point.

there is no relation lose with marshal if I recall correctly. So yeah, you can ignore campaigns completly. And nobody expects you to fight.

You still have the rank legate and get paid, though.

Good to know, thanks Maxi. Your mod is my Fav ngl

Ah, good to know. I knew you didn't get penalized if you reported to marshal, but didn't follow him, but I never just failed to show up and was pretty sure you got penalized if you did that. This way it's even better, it's basically up to the player to decide if they are playing a governor or a commander.

Yeah true. But yeah it would be cool if you had like 300k+ Denars you could go up to the Emperor and try to convince you governorship. And then he gave you a full Province to Rule over if he doesn't like the current Gov,

I mean, there's a quest to get a governorship from a bad governor (bad character type) if you don't already have one. You don't have to pay, you just have to do some relationship building with the town and emperor. Or are you suggesting being able to buy multiple provinces this way?

How can u usurp a village or town ? I have over 35 relationship with village but i don't know how to usurp it. Anybody knows ?

Can't usurp villages, only towns. And the current governor has to actually be bad. Then there's a chance the town leaders will come to you for help because they think you are a much better option.
