"This land belongs to noone"?
Some villages in land I conquer say "this land belongs to noone" even when I own their respective towns and I can't manage them, what do I do?

You need to assign a lord to it. Go to your minister and talk with him. If they have no lord you should see it there under the dialogue option "I wan to assign a governor to a settlement" (or something like that). Are you sure they have no lord assigned to it?

Nevermind, the AI just takes a long time to assign lords to villages.

This happened to me too.
I received Palmyra as a fief, I also managed to get 2 out of 3 villages, and then the 3rd village hasn't be assigned to anyone. I didn't even get the option while talking to other Romans ("Who do you think should get..."). The 3rd one belongs to no one, and several weeks have passed.
In the meanwhile, "we" conquered some britain places, and Nero assigned them regularly.

(I am not the emperor, of course)
