Business strategies
Looks like with the latest update business revenue decreased and now fluctuates quite a bit, requiring application of a brain and not thoughtless clicking on "build weavery and dyeworks" in every city. At the beginning of the game, almost all prospective businesses in Rome were expected to make a loss. With time, things got better, but in most towns now, weavery and dyeworks is no longer a near-guaranteed 3-6k per week. I'm noticing Mediolanium seems to be a good place for an Ironworks, bringing 2k, and in Antiochia, a weavery and dyeworks is still the moneymaker it used to be in old versions, bringing 5k.

What do you build and where?

It should now highly depend on supply and demand which depends on prosperity (which depends on several other factors...)
In cases of demand I want to give you an example: in massalia, you make not much profit with a wine press although there are winyards there (so there should be enough supply) but there are already 15 wine presses (so there is much demand and competition) therefor you get such a low profit.
Other example: In Antiochia you get high income from dyeworks because this needs silk and dye which can be bought in Antiochia quite cheap.

Additionally, Lugdunum is a good place for an iron works, bringing about 4k.

More generally, looks like a number of Eastern cities in what starts as Parthia make very good profits (4k+) on weavery and dyeworks. This can be a very good place to initially build business in with ROI up to 20%/week.
