Mount & Blade: Warband

Aut Caesar aut nihil
Companions leaving
What is the reason my hero companions loose relation with me so quickly? The moral is high, there's enough food variety and when asked they tell me they got no problems with my other companions but are abhoard by the "general state of affairs". I really don't understand, as we never really loose any battles and don't commit any war crimes or evil acts.

From what I understand, "evil acts" is in the eye of the beholder, and some of your companions have strong opinions.

Attacked an enemy caravan, or even just forced it to pay for passage? "OMG, NO, TRADERS ARE INNOCENT, YOU MONSTER!!1!11".

Personally, I just let go most of the companions who do this, or turn them into governors. There are enough hardcore Roman ex-military types that don't whine and moan about going to war. Only occasionally I have someone really good at trading or engineering that I put up with because they are just THAT good. For those unicorns, I just throw a big fat stack of gold coins their way every time they complain. Tends to shut them right up. ;)

EDIT: This has a list of dislikes for the stock game lords. Probably some of these conditions is what's bugging your guys too: https://mountandblade.fandom.com/wiki/Heroes
