Path 2:
Upgrade 1 - Causes gballoons to be frozen for longer.
Upgrade 2 - Deep freezing causes two layers to be frozen.
Upgrade 3 - Freezing occasionally causes the ice orb to release ice shards which deal extra damage.
Upgrade 4 - The ice orb's range greatly increases and it can now shoot out ice shards as well as freeze nearby gballoons.
Upgrade 5 - Ice shards now release fragments which pop more gballoons.
In the meantime, due to the way I have coded the system, up to 8 upgrade paths can be added, 15 upgrades each. Go crazy!
Chaingun Tower: A stationary, player-controlled chaingun attached to a heavy stand. (If you need a picture I can send you one wherever.) It's controlled by a device the player uses. Has a camera if placed far away so the player can use the chaingun from it's PoV. (Point of View)
Path 1:
Upgrade 1 - Faster fire rate.
Upgrade 2 - Bullet spread decreased greatly.
Upgrade 3 - Red hot bullets increase damage and allow it to pop gray gballoons.
Upgrade 4 - Chaingun tower now fires lasers instead of bullets.
Upgrade 5 - Chaingun tower turns into a huge laser.
Upgrade 6 - Laser becomes a plasma laser, increasing damage by a huge level.
Path 2:
Upgrade 1 - Can pierce up to 6 gballoons. (Bullet pops gballoon, and passes through to pop the next, up to the 6th.)
Upgrade 2 - Special gballoon acid allows the turret to pop any gballoon.
Upgrade 3 - Upgrades to the camera allow it to register hidden gballoons from any distance.
Upgrade 4 - Bullets turn to mini explosive rockets that deal extra damage to ceramic, brick, marble and gblimps.
Upgrade 5 - Armour-piercing rockets can now pop black gballoons and deal extra damage to strengthened gballoons.
(Optional) (Ability) Upgrade 6 - Upon activation, a player can choose a location for at least 25-50 rockets to bombard. (If possible to be done by the tower pointing up and launching the rockets in an animation, that's be awesome.)
Path 1:
Upgrade 1 - Gains a machine gun.
Upgrade 2 - Armour piercing bullets and shells can pop gray gballoons.
Upgrade 3 - Fire rate of the main gun and machine gun increased.
Upgrade 4 - Incendiary shells cause gballoons to be set alight when hit.
Upgrade 5 - Fire becomes more volatile and increased armour piercing deals huge damage to gblimps.
Path 2:
Upgrade 1 - Range increased.
Upgrade 2 - Shell blast radius increased.
Upgrade 3 - Tank becomes a Self-Propelled Gun (Artillery on a tank body) and has infinite range. Works similar to a mortar.
Upgrade 4 - Shell blast radius and damage greatly increased.
Upgrade 5 - Shell now blows up into 8 mini bombs.
Microwave Tower: A tower that is similar in style to a tesla coil but fires heat rays to pop gballoons. Expensive, but can pop gray, black and monochrome gballoons. Microwaves pop 1 layer on base level and can pierce up to 3 gballoons.
Path 1:
Upgrade 1 - Microwaves reach longer ranges.
Upgrade 2 - Hotter microwaves now pop 3 layers.
Upgrade 3 - Thermal detection allows the tower to detect hidden gballoons and monochrome gblimps.
Upgrade 4 - Microwaves now pop 5 layers and the tower fires multiple microwaves at multiple gballoons. Range increases.
Upgrade 5 - Microwaves have a chance to bounce off the layers of a gballoon, allowing huge damage to be inflicted upon them.
Path 2:
Upgrade 1 - Microwave fire rate increased.
Upgrade 2 - Microwave length increases, meaning they can now pierce 6 gballoons.
Upgrade 3 - Microwaves can scatter when hitting a gballoon, meaning they can ricochet onto other gballoons.
Upgrade 4 - Microwaves now have a chance to set gballoons alight, which pop 2 layers per second.
Upgrade 5 - Microwaves now set gballoons alight, which pops 5 layers per second, and the tower now gains an ability where it can spawn a circle of fire around itself.
...Darn you, hidden gBs.
Path 1:
Enhanced Prisms-The Rainbow Portal uses enhanced prisms to capture the light better and is now able to pop a blimp.(Only the first level of blimp).
Second Spectrum-Our scientists have discovered a second set of spectrum which allows the Rainbow Portal to fire more concentrated beams of light, increasing the duration of the firing period to 5 seconds, but increases the charging period to 10 seconds.
White light-The Rainbow Portal is now able to access white light, gaining an ability that, when used, fires a beam at any target, obliterating it, whether it be blimp or gBalloon.
Path 2:
Magic Based Beams-The Rainbow Portal now uses magic light to attack even gBalloons with energy-resistant properties.
Burning Light-The Rainbow Portal concentrates beams of light hot enough to melt through metal and other heat-resistant gBalloons.
Rainbow Overlord-If this is purchased when other Rainbow Portals are nearby, it gains an additional -0.5 charging time for each Rainbow Portal nearby.
This new tower is very interesting, I like it!
Battleship: A warship which can only be placed in water.
Path 1:
Upgrade 1 - Fragmenting shells pop 5 layers of gballoons.
Upgrade 2 - Red hot shells can pop gray gballoons.
Upgrade 3 - Battleship gains a hatch which can occasionally fire a missile anywhere on the map. Deals increased damage to strengthened and ceramic gballoons.
Upgrade 4 - Battleship now gains a secondary hatch, which when shot at, fires an ICBM missile that destroys any gballoon up to a green gblimp in a small blast radius.
Upgrade 5 - ICBM becomes radioactive and incendiary, allowing it to somehow bypass and 1-shot any gballoon below a rainbow gblimp and deals fire damage in a huge radius.
Path 2:
Upgrade 1 - New firing mechanism increases the battleship's range.
Upgrade 2 - Advanced microchips are now put into use in towers, allowing the battleship to target gballoons in other tower's ranges.
Upgrade 3 - Battleship reforms into an aircraft carrier, which sends out up to 4 little fast firing aircraft to pop gballoons effectively.
Upgrade 4 - Aircraft carrier now increases in size, meaning it can now send up to 6 aircraft, and can now place towers upon it's upper deck.
Upgrade 5 - Aircraft now fire missiles which deal extra damage to strengthened, marble, brick and ceramic gballoons and gblimps. Carrier now becomes much bigger in size, becoming a supercarrier which can station a lot of towers on the upper deck and can send out 12 aircraft!
The Manifestation: A white ghostly figure (Probably a GMan) which throws bullets that can pop 1 layer of gballoon at an extremely fast rate. Extremely expensive, as are the upgrades.
