March 18 Model Update
Hello,

Firstly I would like to salute the work and efforts the author had put into all his/her tennogen creations. I really find the Mithra series wonderful looking, especially this one.

However, I have to say that I personally prefer the older version of the Valkyr Mithra (the one presented on the screenshots) instead of the new one seen in the 3D model viewer.

The changes on the muscles are good and I still don't know which one I prefer, the new ones look more complex and detailed but they don't have the energy glow they previously had, and it was a really nice touch imo.

The new ears are nice but I think that they're too long and too far apart when the older ones were larger but shorter and overall looked more subtle and better positioned within the head.

The helmet looks a lot more refined in the new version, but I think it lost in strength of character because the animalistic traits are a lot less pronounced.

It looks like the collar has been removed, I kinda liked it but wathever.

I didn't notice any other changes except the ones mentioned above so I think that's it.

Overall I think it's a really good rework in term of quality but ... I prefer a lot more the older one because it had a stronger identity, it looked more beastly. Now it's prettier and more detailed but it looks a bit "insipid" imo.

The skin still looks great don’t get me wrong, and what I said above is 100% subjective. Nonetheless, if the author intends to stick with the updated model I would suggest to do something about the ears because it's the only thing I really dislike about this new model.
I think making the ears shorter and less spread apart will give the new model a much better look overall.

I don't know if I expressed myself clearly enough, I usually don't give my feedback about this sort of thing but I hope it'll be useful and I'd like others to add their opinion aswell.

i have to agrre on everything you said.

The old version as seen in the screenshots has a lot more character and is something different to whats already in the game. If the old version comes into the game i will throw all my money at it,but the newer version (the one in the 3D model) is just a bit to bland.

I agree on the older helmet? The ears looked more like an animals and that fit a sort of refined fox style.

I personally don't care about the ears. The only thing I don't particularly like about the new helmet is the flat profile. The old helmet had a pronounced "mouth" and "nose", whereas the new one is a little flat looking. I think the feline/kitsune flavour is a little lacking in the new design, specifically from profile view. Although I have to say this is more of a nitpick than an outright complaint. I still think the skin looks great, and I will probably get it if it makes the round.

I have a feeling it might be a mandate by DE in order to meet their critera for tennogen. In that case I side with the creator on this change, since it's kind of out of their control at that point.

Keep the new ears but give it the old helm's shape and snout! Valkyr is animalistic, not humanoid like most frames.

I strongly agree, though it's possible the changes were made based on feedback from DE.

Sadly, changes that happen are rarely personnal choices. The skin need to fit with what DE want and if something don't work for them, it need to be tweaked.
The overall flat face with no apparent "face" shapes (mouth, nose, eyes or everything else) isn't something I really like but that's what need to be done to fit the game aestetic from what DE asked me to do.

Reading this message and seing all the modification that DE forced to fit in saddens me so much... I'm so, so sorry for your work. As everyone said here, your first version had lots of character, personallity, a subtile mixture of grace and savagery ! The shape of the face, unique and sculpted to perfection ; that collar shaped like part of a coat giving her a feeling of stature and power ; the energy flowing though the muscles like veins, givint it something more organic, more deep and complex... For F*ck Sake, what was so wrong with your previous design that DE decided to butcher it all to the garbage can ?! What !

I'm terribly sorry to say it Luki, but right now... ? Despite all the work you did to make her as great as she already was, to me... she lost so much of her originality. The helmet is quite nice, very feline compared to the first version ( and truelly better than with the previous winged ears you made for the 2nd form ). But when I look at it from the profile side, I... I can only see some kind of square... like if she's missing a part of her top-head.

I'm sad. DE did terrible, TERRIBLE mistake here. What they forced you to do is unforgivable... At this point I suspect them to volontarely restrain the work of Tennogen artists to be sure to maximise the sells of their Deluxe Skin. :'(

Edit : I told you a couple of month ago, if they decided to get rid of the ears on your skin, my cissors would be ready. And they are. . . Do you want me to go and cut theirs for you ? x)

Well this skin just went from a must buy to a complete pass.
The old helmet had significantly more personality, the ears were adorable. This one? Eh... it looks okay. Objectively, it's well done, but it's a HUGE downgrade.

The helmet is ok and understandable change, since i understand DE's guidelines however a lot of the high detail body work seems to have also disappeared like the energy effects in the muscles which made the skin really unique and gave it a massive part of its flavour if you combined the original body and this helmet i could've seen it being a more reasonable compromise, it would've kept a lot of the originality of the old skin without sacrificing too much and i don't think the body lines were breaking any of the model rules that DE lay out, and if they really do care so much about that maybe they should consider relaxing such rules.

old skin was better, the helm now looks ok-ish, but the collar was a really nice touch to it... and the old skin looked more simple and easy to view rather then a detailed mesh... not going to to say your doing bad, because it is your baby but i am pulling my vote on that.
