revert to vanilla?
Firstly thank you for this mod. Crucial to the immersion for me.
My situations are 2; First is I've noticed over time that while I start new games, the POI's I've added stay marked on the map. Now I've installed this mod on my (first) server hosted on PingPerfect, and all those POIs show up when I join that server, too. Are those POIs somehow going to be cluttering up other users' maps, too? How did they get to the server in England? *smile*
Second and most importantly, I'm only going to be using the vanilla map on the server, but the minimap still shows tons of data that came from the AIZ stuff. I uninstalled the AIZ addon and reset my server but it's all still there... am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Thank you so much.

My apologies for the slow reply, steam still does not notify me of new threads :conwayfacepalm:

Ok. First off:

All POI are stored locally at this location (or the OS equivalent)

C:\Users\%username%\Zomboid\Lua\eris_minimap_poi.ini

This file can be deleted to clear your icons or they can be removed via the minimap. Icons are not shared with others - only you can see them so don't worry about other people having cluttered maps.

POI are not linked to certain characters or servers or even maps. This is for reliability + simplicity. It's just a local list of locations. A marker management system is planned for future versions but at this time is low priority.

Second query:
When tile packs are loaded for the first time, they "stick" and stay loaded - this appears to be a limitation of the engine. Switching between AIZ and vanilla maps can leave certain tiles loaded where they overwrote original parts of the map.

There is a solution to this - restart the game client (your client, not the server) to reload all texture packs before changing maps.

Hope this isn't too late to help. Thank-you for subscribing :)
