I can't comment on your collection, so I figured I put this here. I always end up coming back to this collection some way or another. It's a great foundation for a good campaign and I look forward to the updated 1.2 collection!

I started this just to say Thanks!
It is a wonderful pack. I found it by looking for packs that have "Save our Ship 2" and looked for the top downloaded packs. I think this should clearly indicate that many players enjoy this, even tough there isn't many comments.

This mod says it’s incompatible with Combat Extended, which is also subscribed. Is this intentional?

Any possibility for a vehicle mod to be added? I can add one to my own copy of the modpack, but I was just wondering if there's any incompatibilities that you know of. Didn't see anything listed in incompatible mods, but figured I'd ask first.

There shouldn't be any incompatibilities. Maybe "Combat Extended"? If you link me the specific mod though, I can tell you more. I just never got into vehicle mods, but a good boat mod would be killer.

This is a mod I've used before, it's really good as it adds a wide variety of vehicles. You'd also need the vehicles framework. I'm not very familiar with making such large modpacks, nor checking for incompatibilities, but there's a discussion under this mod that talks about if it's CE compatible. Seems like there might've been a patch? Last mention of it was at the start of december which seems to imply most vehicles work, except some of the newer ones. But apparently the main parts of the mod (Driving, forming caravans with vehicles, transporting cargo) work, it's just some vehicles don't seem to be patched for combat extended whereas others are? Worth looking into, because vehicles seem to be a massive break in immersion in terms of rimworld; they have all this fancy tech and yet to travel they rely on going on foot or using pack animals? Lol.

There might be problems with "Many Jobs" and "Combat Extended". I can't think of any others, but I also haven't played the mod your talking about, so I'm not sure what it touches. I always used drop pods to travel distances, https://youtu.be/a0jZWHxs1wg?t=310 , which solves the immersion problem you are talking about.

If it were JUST vehicles, and nothing else, I would go for that mod. However, it adds ammunition and tanks, which has the potential to ruin combat and/or clutter the menus hard. But I could be wrong. I'll definitely give the mod a try to see if I am wrong.

Yeah, I'd definitely say give it a go, even if just for normal use without adding it to the official modpack. It's fun, the vehicles didn't feel TOO overpowered when I used it, though I didn't try all of them and I haven't tried it with CE. As for clutter, as far as I'm aware all it does is add an extra panel to the research trees, and add an extra "Reform with vehicle" option to caravans on the world map, the rest of the interactive menus is done when you actually have a vehicle, i.e clicking on it. They're sort of between structures and pawns in terms of functionality.

As a side note, not entirely sure but you could check configs if there is any, there's quite a few vehicles that don't utilise weapons such as passenger transport, cargo vehicles, boats, planes etc. You might find you can disable the combative aspects in configs, although not 100% certain on this.

Hey, so I tried the mod, and I actually like it, because, you were right, you can disable certain vehicles... Buuutttt, I am experiencing crashing when I try to load vehicles, and then, at the same time, the research menu pops up with a message "Research Completed". Can you confirm?

Was never an issue when I tried the vehicle mod WITHOUT the modpack. I'm guessing it's an incompatibility somewhere along the line. I'll test it and get back to you.
