i feel like this would be for soldier as a secondary that removes fall damage but makes him slower while in air

Sadly only Demoman and Scout's feet can be removed to make cosmetics like this work, and this item doesnt work too well with how small Scout's feet are so i decided to make it Demoman only.

it could be great idea but soldier wont be slower in air but has less hp and more dmg from rocket jumps

I think the demoman doesn't even have enough feet customization, so i think this will fit.
how else am i suppossed to be my drunken self with these? nah man you gotta have a scottish cosmetic at the very least in order to get my aproel, lol jk i actually think this is a great idea for demomen who like sticky jumping and using the peg thing

Why does everyone seem to think that a soldier item that negates fall damage needs added drawbacks? Equipping this instead of soldier's other secondaries is automatically a significant tradeoff. Trolldiers using suspension breakers as a safety net would have to give up the extra agility provided by the manntreads, and the immense self-damage dealt by any functional rocket launcher mean these wouldn't be a perfect gunboats alternative either. They also aren't a shotgun or a banner, so there's that.

Honestly, if it was a weapon and had stats, here it would be.

Demoman Primary

Level ___ Spring-Compressed Feet

+75 hp on wearer (250 hp total)
+Fall Damage Negation (Except from very extreme heights, about 75 feet, then it is just about 10 hp of damage for 5 feet over the max height till it gets to the max amount of fall damage any class can take from normal falling)
+Higher blast jump height (20% for 1 sticky, 30% with 2)
+Higher jump height (50% higher)
+/-Less knockback to everything except your own explosives (20% to 30%, based on how many explosives there are, 40% with airblasts)
-More blast damage (25%, only 10% more with your own stickies)
-More bullet damage (20%)
-Fire damage reduces jump height (to normal jump height) and slower blast jump move speed (somewhat melting the springs a bit)
-Clanking noise when walking, lighter sound when crouching (Basically as noisy as the scout's jingle bell cosmetics, crouching makes it 33% quieter)

Basically something great for sticky spamming but also harmful to the user (Fun, but risky against anyone else, even other users of said item.) Also it gives more mobility to Demoman while somewhat being weaker in speed against pyros because of less speed when blast jumping away.

Less knockback feature makes it harder for the demoman to use enemy's explosives to blast jump to them or away, since he isnt going as far or fast with the blast, somewhat making it a plus and minus stat

How about making them bouncy shoes?

> Landing causes you to bounce, height dependant on how much damage you WOULD have taken

It'd be a fun Trolldier weapon and benefit other weapons like the Air Strike and even Beggars

yeah it slows you down even more but let's you jump higher, you take less damage from rocket jumps and you will be faster and more manuverable in the air.

imo i think it should just stay as a cosmetic for demo and soldier i don't believe that trolldier needs anymore footwear weapons. However if this were turned into a weapon i think it should be a demo tertiary (can't be secondary or primary)
