I suggest lowering the resource and factory value of the side fronts. They are way too valuable considering they can fall pretty easily. Lower industry and resources by half, but leave the manpower. Shift the ic and resources to the middle slices to make it more interesting to try break the middle.
To maintain interest need more dynamic. I will take action to improve gameplay while leaving the current war start date.
Who does not want super fast can just not attack until a later date despite the war starting.
