the mod still works (kinda)
How to get slaves now that recruiting is bugged out (for me its bugged out, cant recruit new slaves).
go to the holy mines and try to find a slave who is willing to "talk" if the slave can talk to you then make him follow you to your compound.
ta daaa, you have a slave again!
