It's only better if you can aim your shots, i.e. land consistent headshots, which some people are unable to do. So it's better in the hands of a pro, but not in the hands of someone who can't aim. I'm not saying stock is better than Ambie, nor is Ambie better than stock, it's just depends on who's hands the gun is in.

stock is better in nearly every single situation after the ambi nerf, what are you on about?

Obviously, you're "SomEoNe WhO cAn'T hIt ThEiR hEaDsHoTs". As I said, if you can CONSISTENTLY land headshots, then you can have more damage output that stock. The skill gap, however, between landing shots with stock and landing headshots with Ambi is extremely wide.

I mean, now the revolver is more effective at range because of the damage falloff post amby nerf. Spamming bodyshots with it has more dps than waiting for a second and then headshoting them for 56 when you could bodyshot them twice in the same time and deal around 70 damage. Amby could only be better than stock in close range and if you're a god at headshotting people.
