Favorite Wildling Builds
I thought this might be a nice place to share your favorite Wildling build. I know there's some out there that even I haven't thought of (ala Ozhu's retaliation Wildling).

I'll pop some of mine up here later tonight.

Any of the trees can be followed for a pretty solid build, the following will take skills from across the trees. Obviously the skill points don't total out to the max, but they're there to be something of a guideline.

Druid Classic
Kinda like playing a druid in Neverwinter Nights, just no shapeshifting. Weapon attacks will be your mainstay while focusing on skills that have longer cooldowns or are permanent (like Guardian of the Wild and Creeping Doom). Strength, Dexterity and Focus will be your most important stats and a fairly even mix will likely do you well. Your personal damage won't be as important as that of your summoned allies', so focusing on building defensive gear is likely a good idea. That'll keep you alive and allow you to control the battlefield and debilitate enemies while your pets clean up. So grab a melee weapon and get on out there!

Primal Skills-

Murder of Crows 1/15
Guardian of the Wild 15/15
Take Flight 5/15
Harass 15/15
Natural Selection 15/15
Heart of the Pack 15/15

Tempest Skills-

Howling Wind 1/15 (or more as you like)
Lightning Storm 15/15
Freezing Mist 15/15

Gaea Skills-

Fairwind Idol 15/15
Creeping Doom 15/15
Hand of Gaea 15/15 or Gaea's Vengeance 15/15

The Mistwalker
The Mistwalker is a magic-wielding archer that blends skills from all 3 trees. The focus here is to maximize the use of long-duration damaging abilities like Creeping Doom or Lightning Storm while picking mana steal weapons to allow the Mistwalker to continue casting their skills from a safe distance.

Primal Skills-

Guardian of the Wild 15/15
Take Flight 1/15
Prey on the Weak 15/15
Heart of the Pack 15/15

Tempest Skills-

Howling Wind 5/15 or more
Lightning Storm 15/15
Freezing Mist 15/15
Storm Chakram 5/15

Gaea Skills-

Gaea's Vengeance 15/15
Wild Arrows 15/15
Creeping Doom 15/15

I'd like to see a staff-centered build but honestly I'm not very tempted from the stats. Maybe if Storm Chakram, Surge, Conduit and Howling Wind, all required Windtalker. ... I'll bring this up in Suggestions

For the Wildling, a Focus/staff build is probably the most powerful route to take and the easiest to build. The increased mana pool helps immensely. For Surge builds, I do find that a Strength build with Natural Selection and Conduit works very well. I've tried a staff + Surge build and it was good, but suffered from the lack of Natural Selection.

For an example of a staff build, one of my most potent toons focuses on these skills:

Windtalker
Faebolt
Fairwind Idol
Pixie
Thunder Spirit
Call Lightning

and of course has 1 point in each of the following for functionality

Howling Wind
Prey on the Weak
Take Flight
Heart of the Pack
Solar Puissance

What would your stat distribution be like for the bow build, and what stats do you aim for with enchantments (vanilla, not synergies)?

Hey Bayani,

Personally I go for a pretty even distribution between Str, Dex and Focus. I've only taken it to level 36, but I'm sure at higher levels you'd want to focus more on Strength.

For item enchantments I go for mana steal>health>stats>+damage%.
