Rail crossings
Is there a way I can replace the model of road/rail crossings, keep the effect of the rail crossing as if the train was coming and the arms were down (stopping traffic) but have them start/stop trigger on a frame in the animation rather than on the train requirement?

I suppose I meant not replace, but create a new model that utilizes it's features.

If you just want to create an animated thing that can be used anywhere, use CAL:

Yes I know about CAL. But I need to know if I can introduce the flag for the rail crossing that stops traffic. My asset will intersect a road so to speak, and on certain frames I need it to stop traffic and then start it again, just like a rail crossing does, when a train comes. But in my case, there isn't gonna be a train. I need to know how to call those flags/triggers. Seriously.. no more room to type....

I know Unity can implement a trigger on an animation frame, so there must be a way to call those functions. If someone has figured out how to do that... I'd like to know.

I think boformer experiemented with something like that. Specifcally he was trying to create a draw bridge and had to use a mod to create fake (invisible) traffic lights eithter side of it. He was successful in much of that stuff but never released the mod. I'd suggest reaching out to him to see if he has any ideas or code you can use.

Could I use this mod to make it so the trains dont slow down when going through rail crossings?
