Vehicle exiting building won't turn across traffic lanes
On a right-hand drive map, a vehicle that exits a building and wants to go left will instead go right and then u-turn or do some other extra unnecessary routing, seemingly to avoid driving across traffic headed the opposite way. For the longest, I thought this was vanilla behavior, but someone pointed out on Reddit that vanilla driving AI will do this.

Is there a TMPE setting that affects this behavior, or is this just something TMPE doesn't support?

It depends on road asset settings. If "cannot cross" option was enabled then pathfinding won't try searching for direct path without U-turn.

aha.... so maybe the vanilla roads have this enabled, but the Vanilla+ roads I've been using don't. thanks for answering!

So it is a road asset issue, I'd been wondering if it was some game issue. Is this something TMPE could possibly detect, or even modify on the fly?
