Problems with Network Extensions 3 1.0.2.1
Hello,

I have a Error at Start, it says that NE 3 1.0.2.1 not compatible is with TMPE

That's because Network Extensions 3 contains malware directly targeting our team and many other modders, players and even CO employees.

Do not use Network Extensions 3, but rather replace the roads with an asset base instead. It will always be safer to use assets than mods, since the latter becomes a hard dependency which can cause your city to no longer load if anything in it gets changed or bugged.

Here is a collection using RON by algernon and the replacement road assets by Cylis to automatically replace all your mod-added roads with identical asset roads.

By now, Network Extensions 3 has been BANNED by Valve and Colossal because it contains malware. You should be automatically unsubbed from it, but you may want to delete the physical folder for this mod on your hard drive.

Mods on your hard drive are saved by ID number, and the ID number for NE3 is.... sorry, WAS.... 2730687809 - so look for a folder with that name under your mods, and delete it immediately.

welp...tried run my city while unaware of this fiasco, but even after unsubbing, ensuring the folder was deleted and installing RON and the additional assets, city still won't load. *sad emoji*

My City loaded, but without Mod-Roads, didnt save it of course. Anything different? Other mods of that User?

When I went through this process it wasn't as refined as it is now. (And I did this with NE2, completely related to the "As the Harmony Mod Turns" dramafest we're unfortunately witnessing.) At that time you had to launch C:S with NE2 enabled, RON enabled, and unsubscribed from Harmony. Once the city loads, use RON to manually scan the city for anything from NE2 in your city, then delete or replace those network segments, save. Then quit and restart C:S with Harmony enabled and unsubscribed from NE2. You might try that, just throwing it out there but maybe there's an oddball NE2 asset that RON's new automated parser missed, but you can find it with a manual scan? Just spit-balling here. P.S. I have vague recollections of a couple of assets (like maybe an airport or harbor or something) that had an NE2 road segment embedded in the asset. If you find out that's your problem, you'll either have to save a local copy of that asset with the NE2 road removed and use your local copy from this point forward, or simply find another asset to your liking in the workshop that doesn't rely on NE2 and get rid of the the old one.

Thanks for that many help. i unsubcribed NE2 and NE3, and thanks for the new working Assets.
I hope i can finde that Asset with the wrong Rod or maybe MAP?
Can it be that is also a map that bring me that error at start of game?

Yes. There are maps that require NE2 to load properly, and similarly you can use the above procedure to swap out those roads embedded in the map and save a local copy. That was one of the problems with NE2, it did such a good job of making the "NE2 mod dependent roads" look, act and behave like vanilla roads, it was easy to forget you were working with mod roads when creating a map/asset/whatever.

The updated Loading Screen Mod (Klyte45 version) has some extra features that allow RON to automatically replace NExt roads both on the map, and in buildings.
