And luckily, for once, it will be the same quest line, no matter how you become a Warmaiden.
But, they will also give you an increase in relations with the Warmaiden faction every time you complete it successfully.
And that will also be important later on.
Having high level characters on the team seems to help with everyone leveling as well, when the numbers get crunched over time. Less time bleeding in the dirt, more chances to take swipes at higher level enemies. Just overall more combats won, so more cruising the map with impunity, leading to more XP for the low level recruits. That should be an expensive advantage.
I recruited her for 9k when I had just 'started out' more or less, with my first 12k in the pocket, figuring that she'd be worth her weight in gold. That's been true, but has been a little game breaking.
I'll look into this.
I feel for short term hires, because there's only one of them and it's only temporary, mercenary pricing is fine. It was the recruitment I felt was a bit under-priced, because you get them forever.
What probably happened is that the 18+ skins changed all of the armor to match the new skins, but this armor, based on vanilla assets, might not show properly.
Is there a particular mod you're referring to?
On a related note I noticed the Warmaiden armor buffs unarmed damage and ended up making all of mine fist fighters. Don't know if that's the intended player response and it's not like I didn't have fun with it but it might be worth looking at. I mean you combine those starting numbers with not even needing a weapon to kick ass right from the get go and just... damn. Adds a lot of weight to the increased recruitment cost suggestion above too.
Perhaps some chauvanistic organization in the Holy nation or UC for example, but apart from those that already exist.
Then quests could be added to combat that foe (and vice versa?)
Maybe male characters who champion the warmaiden cause, while not being allowed to join the maidens, could still receive some recognition this way.
I love the theme here, please keep up the good work! (Also, I suggest raising the price for hiring these ladies, 9k for a swordsister is a steal! I'd suggest closer to 20k for the first level, given that they are already competent fighters.)
