The new update UI
I find the new update UI, specifically the hidden information behind a right-click or ctrl-click, to have some usability issues. I like the idea of the icons on the cards but when you even have just 5 cards in your hand they can't be seen because they're hidden by other cards as they're on the side edge. When I read that you can right-click to view more properties I thought you had to right-click on the card itself, which then made things confusing when I was choosing new cards to add.

I think the biggest issue is that you just can't tell at a glance what a card can fully do. Even with the icons you only know how to activate the effect or what type of effect it is, not what the effect does. Especially for someone coming from an old patch, it means that it takes much longer to determine what a card will do or if I should add it to my deck. For a new player, they could miss the second part of the card entirely and be confused as to why unexpected things happen.

Still my favourite mod for slay the spire, and I'll give it more time, but those are my thoughts right now

Hi, you can right click at any moment and in any screen, and it will show the secondary effect of all visible cards, so in a card reward screen you don't have to click each card separately.

I really feel this change actually helps new players, as it is a nicer way to logically separate the main effect of a card from their special ability without cluttering their description, or without using too many keywords.

Players won't have to learn Legacy, Recall, or special keywords like Blood Destruction, Gate of Babylon, Pride etc...

I think both the badges and the fact that the secondary effect is never affected by upgrade will make remembering them much easier, so you won't have to check it more than a couple times.
But even if you would have to, having to right click seems to me a better solution than hovering the card and waiting for the tooltip to appear.

I do like that it uses simpler phrasing, having to learn those words was a bit of a learning curve.

The badges are still not visible when glancing at the hand though, which makes them harder to use.

The secondary effect never being affected by upgrade is a nice touch!

Maybe they could be moved to the left side, I'll make some tests tomorrow

They are now rendered to the left while in combat
