Static Props (Decoration Blocks)
- Table with loose components laying on it, i.e., interior plates, powers cells, etc.
- Standing and wall mounted control panels (They could be functional but not necessary)
- Various truss designs that you'd find on bridges or scaffolding
- Miniature ship models (Perhaps of the classic Big Red and Blue Keen ships or other more
notable Sci-fi properties) that can be displayed on a desk or wall mounted.
- Variety of floor blocks: plated sheet metal, treaded stainless steel, grated, etc.
- Terminals with random holographic displays with subtle animated elements ( I know, easier said
than done)
Functional Props
- Security scanner with animated scanning laser. The kind you see in scifi that do an optical or
finger print scan to gain entry. (Could have sensor functionality)
- The typical encased spinning fan blades you'd find in a creepy air vent scene in Alien. (Could be
a working air vent)
Really good suggestions, i'll see what i can do.
cable drums, large fuel tanks, amunition boxes, fuel lines, generators etc
Some computers and radios on tables sounds like a good idea
Cable drums and cabling in general is a good suggestion. I know there's a power lines mod already but cables coming out of half open panels or hanging from a ceiling would make for an interesting industrial clutter look.
Oh yeah powerlines, like those big 'A' shaped ones, or the 'T' shaped ones?
anything to create Living-spaces would be greatly appreciated. Right now there is hardly a hand full of props to create Rooms looking like Habitats, Messhalls, Hospitals etc.
I see some people already suggested Security-scanners and other things - if you can, keep things more generic so they might be usable in many different scenarios. A security-scanner with a big screen might also work as some kind of infopanel atop a hospital bed for example. Tables attached to the floor by a central beam might work well as some kind of wall-paneling, when turned 90° and placed side by side.
Personally I would love to see plants, Desks, Benches, Countertops, Vending machines, Another light that doesnt look as industrial and new Floors that look more cozy. Wooden or carpet maybe.
Great sources for inspirations could be Star Citizen, Prey (the newer installment) and Subnautica.
Either way - these are no demands. I just like sharing ideas and dont expect anything.
Greetings :-)
I originally wanted to make full rooms (like this https://imgur.com/xlDs1Jy ) so i can have really detailed setups without wasting block space. Also the tables are next on the list and yes they will be bolted onto the floor, im just making props for bases at the moment but i will extend to space such as cargo racks, secured tools and air vents (got the idea to travel through airvents from Riddick Escape From Butcher Bay).
