Does this work good without the skybox mod?

Also why is there a CS:GO weapon mod recommended?

The mods are what I recommend, they are not required. Those skybox's are what I intended for the map, but I didn't want to force them on the player. The CS weapons are in Whispers of Winter, so you don't need the mod, but if you want it or encounter any issues its there.
