Plan B
Kyle's Review of "Plan B" - 3/5
Imaginative, but inconsistent. 3/5 stars.

Plan B has compelling environments, creative progression, and a lot of personality, particularly thanks to the cutscenes and Survivor conversations. There's a lot to explore and discover, and you're rewarded with either supplies or a good laugh for doing so. The difficulty and length are also perfectly reasonable, which is something I wish I could say about every campaign.

However, this campaign has significant issues that could potentially ruin the experience if you're not keen on the positive aspects. Health items are too rare because the custom "med stations" don't seem to be functioning as intended. The environments are often too expansive and directionless. I got STUCK IN THE GROUND in Map 1 and only freed myself by abusing molotov self-damage and bot teleportation.

Still, it's a fun romp, and the finale is one of the most enjoyable custom finales I've ever played even though I never fought a second Tank. Give this one a try!

Thanks for the review.

What's broken on the med stations? They seem to be functional on my end. And where did you get stuck in the ground?

Since you asked...

The med stations would display a "progress bar" when I looked at them, but pressing the use key on every square inch of the model did nothing at all. Maybe I'm missing something, but they seemed nonfunctional.

As for getting stuck, it was in the endlessly looping road on Map 1. I was near the cliff on the side of the road, I think it must have happened when I was teleported backwards. Two bots also got stuck, but of course they can teleport out.

To be perfectly honest, I would probably just block off the looping road and cut that part out in a future update. It clearly has the potential to cause resets, and even when it's working as intended it can still be a confusing waste of time for new players.

Holding down the use key is supposed to let you heal similar to a medkit, as long as there are supplies left in the station.

I swear I tried that, but it's admittedly more likely I was just messing something up. I do that a lot...

Thanks for the response, by the way! It's good to see you're still reading feedback on this campaign ^_^
