[1.2] DE Surgeries - Oni Race patch
quick question for oni ordering and de surgeries mod
hi pyroxer, youve made tons of mods and translations :) well done.

can i check something about your de surgeries mod?
in the above description, you mentioned the load order for this particular oni patch mod.

and here you mentioned this:
Core
HugsLib
Humanoid Alien Races 2.0
Oni of the Rim
[1.0] DE Surgeries (or [1.0] DE Surgeries for RBSE only / [1.0] DE Surgeries Hard)
[1.0] DE Surgeries - Oni Race patch ( This mod )

the Oni of the rim mod, looks like it needed to be placed (before) DE Surgeries

in my current game, i have DE Surgeries with a lot of other mods, and it seems to be working very well, allowing me to cure or heal some injuries, but i also have the Minions mod :)

do you know if DE Surgeries happens to also support that mod, as i dont think i saw as many healing options (in the health > operations list)

but i happen to be currently having DE Surgeries mod (above) the minions mod... is that the reason why?
actually i think i have many other mods (some race mods or faction mods) after DE Surgeries too, but when i saw your text above, i didnt know if i just need to modify my mod order, or if minion mod was not actually supported? (sorry if this is on the wrong page, i can repost on de surgeries)

Hello, pgames-food.
The list I described as Mod's order is an example that I think that I am able to go empirically and avoid problems. As you know, "Add race" which uses alien frames must be under "Humanoid Alien Races 2.0" without fail.

For the same reasons, I think that it is easier to avoid trouble by placing many medical system Mod under the added race Mod. The reason is that the name of the race and the name of the body part etc may not be recognized correctly if it is read after the medical system Mod.

A patch for DE Surgeries for added races adds the patch last applied when launching the game so that DE Surgeries can apply to that race. In most cases, you probably to put the patch mod at the bottom of the Mod list (I do not think it will conflict with patches added by other Mod).

For Minions mod, DE Surgeries has not added any patches. So, as long as the author of Minions mod has not added the patch, it is not currently supported.

DE Surgeries can be used simultaneously with one of EPOE (Expanded Prosthetics and Organ Engineering) or RBSE (Rah's Bionics and Surgery Expansion). I recommend using "[1.0] DE Surgeries for RBSE only" when using with RBSE at the same time.

I think that it is better for DE Surgeries' s placement in the Mod list to be under EPOE or RBSE. Because I think that it is easier to gives priority to treatments performed on both Mods. (When using at the same time as RBSE, please use "[1.0] DE Surgeries for RBSE only" to avoid duplication of surgical menus).

Like this mod ([1.0] DE Surgeries - Oni Race patch), patches for races, must be placed under DE Surgeries. If you put it in reverse, game may not be able to read the race name to apply the patch (if it can not be read it will either give an error or it will not apply).

Although it seems to be a hard to understand explanation, please refer to the above explanation about the order of the Mod list. If additional explanation is necessary, please ask me again about the unknown part or the part where the problem occurred. Thank you. :steamhappy:

ah thanks a lot for the details,

i checked my mod list and it seems that most of the ordering 'seems to be in order' :)
the humanoid mod was mod number 3, and DE Surgeries was under EPOE.
actually, i posted a recent version of my modlist on the HelpTab mod page here

(it has changed slightly with the addition of genetic rim and a couple since then)

i will check again the minion mod and will ask them if they are able to support de surgeries as i think it is that which does not have the patch but i will recheck my mods as i do have some medical mods that are above race mods so i will probably need to change those a bit too

That is a very wonderful report. There are a lot of troubles that the author has not noticed, and it is saved because there is a report even with a little thing. I am grateful that you are one of the great Mod users. Thank you.
