How to make custom eyes?

Pyro's Peepers don't load correctly

For some reason none of the eyes work, they don't have any pupils (see image).
Changing the skin only changes the color of the eyeball but none of the pupils show up.
Can anyone help and explain how to fix it?

have you ever used the r_eyesize command? because I did and then forgot, so if you set it to r_eyesize 0 it will go back to normal and might fix it.
