The Submarine
The Submarine must first be crafted from its Schematics. This first step costs 1 note.

The note will then give you the permanent Schematics Blueprint, which you can craft all your submarines from. Note this is a HEAVY costing recipe and as such, i advise crafting everything in a remote inventory. The submarine item itself weighs 250 units.

When you get your actual item, use the item in deep water. Presto, instant submarine!

BASE STATS:
Health: 480
Stamina: 180
Weight: 1560
Speed: 100%

-Naturally only takes 68% of incoming damage
-can level up
-Always spawns at your maximum wild level cap
-The Submarine's interior actually has proper collision. As such, being inside will protect from damage coming from the outside. However you will still be swimming and loose oxygen if you dont have a scuba tank.
-When riding the Submarine, you get a "Submarine passenger" buff. This buff acts like a scuba tank: refilling oxygen and stamina as long as you're seated. It also does some bonus measures to keep you from taking damage inside the submarine, and also gives you some slight insulation buffs when riding it.
-Immune to practically every buff
-Resistant to Whirlpools on genesis
-Reduces the weight of most items in its inventory by half, and has a x8 preservation multiplier.
-Does not require any fuel

-Left click claw attack. Deals solid damage and has a great dps rate. Has the same damagetype as Dunkleosteus: harvesting wood, metal, and stone.
-Right click grab. grabs most critters up to a certain size. right click to release. Also harvests pearls.
-C key to open the hatch. The hatch will open by itself for a short time. You cannot escape the sub otherwise, so make sure to press C before exiting the driver's seat, then swim up and out of the hatch!
-X key to fire harpoons when in Harpoon firing mode. The sub will first check for harpoons (ballista bolts). If it has one, it will fire one in front of it, at the cost of 1 piece of ammo. Has a slight cooldown and stamina cost, cannot be used without ammo or with insufficient stam
- Left Control to toggle on the sub's floodlight. This will turn on a light to light up your immediate surroundings, has no stamina cost when active and can be turned off by pressing the same button again.
-Q key to toggle on the sonar. Grants snow owl predator vision when active, but rapidly drains stamina.
-O key to swap firing mode. By default, you are in Harpoon firing mode. Pressing the O key switches you to Rocket firing mode, allowing you to fire Rockets with X instead of harpoons, if you have rocket-propelled grenades in your inventory. These deal more damage, but have a longer cooldown between use and a more costly stamina cost. Whenever you switch firing modes, there is a 2-second wait before you can swap back to the other firing mode.
