Artifact seeds

Farmed all the way up to the top teir crystal seed because i was told i could craft a seed to grow artifacts. Now that im here there is no seeds for artifacts. Any ideas as to why i cant craft them? or are they removed entirely

You need to kill the boss "Biotek giga" for a chance to get artifact seeds
