Creature Info
#1. Megaraptor
-Habitat: Jungle, Grassland, Redwoods, Green Desert, Fertile Chamber, Desert Biodome, Sunken Forest
-Tranq Tame
Megaraptor is one of the most recognizable of the island's medium-sized carnivores. Despite seeming like a relative to Allosaurus or Megalosaurus, it is actually a distant relative of Tyrannosaurus. Megaraptor itself is very much a hybrid of Allosaurus and Rex in terms of abilities. Allosaurus traits due to its agility and frame, while Rex contributes due to its aggression and strength. When hunting prey, Megaraptor will deliver a fearsome bite to grab smaller prey and crush them in its jaws. Tamed, Megaraptor is an extremely well-rounded, aggressive middle-tier mount for any survivor.
-Very slight natural armor
-Rivalry boost: +25% Attack and +15% Resistance when activated. Press X to toggle it when tamed/server restarts. When a creature that triggers it comes near, the rivalry buff will activate
-Left click bite. Good damage for its size and drains stamina
-Right click roar, for aesthetic.
-C key grab bite. Picks up roughly the same targets a Megalosaur can. Can be toggled on/off as an AI special attack.
-Spacebar to jump

#2. Achillobator
-Habitat: Jungle, Grassland, Green Desert, Fertile Chamber, Desert Biodome, Sunken Forest
-Tranq Tame
The larger, stockier, and stronger cousin of Utahraptor. Achillobator bests Utahraptor in every way imaginable. More health, more strength, faster, and far more vicious. These larger raptors are a true threat, but extremely valuable to any survivor who can get even one. Their claws are razor sharp, allowing them to shred through armor with ease. A pack of Achillobator can become like a pack of shredding blades that can quickly dispatch enemy footsoldiers. Even by themselves, they're a strong and adaptable mount, making them a must have for any survivors who love raptors- regardless of level of progression!
-Slight natural armor
-Bleed immunity
-Can Turn in place
-Pack mechanic and gang bonus
-Left click bite. Great attack rate and damage
-Right click claw slash. Less damage, but shreds and penetrates armor (great for PvP)
-C key roar. For aesthetic, but other Achillobator in the same pack will roar back.
-Spacebar to jump

#3. Cyprus Dwarf Hippo
-Habitat: Jungle, Swamp, Inland Water, Oasis, Fertile Chamber, Desert Biodome, Sunken Forest
-Tranq Tame
Chunky, friendly herbivores often found in lush areas near water. Cyprus dwarf hippos may seem adorable or even derpy, but most early survivors dont know that they can prove even more dangerous than the usual raptors when provoked. Their sharp tusks, as well as surprising strength and speed will often catch many new survivors off guard and lead to fatal results. Those who can tame them however have one of the most durable and versatile early mounts around, with great mobility and very good strength, adding in the harvesting abilities.
-Will often be found in the wild eating from shrubs (tamed ones will too when set to wander)
-Regenerates stamina when swimming (cannot run in water though, still has a good swim speed)
-Can turn in place
-Left click bite. Pierces/shreds armor and gathers meat.
-Right click graze. Low damage but great for harvesting berries.
-C key bellow, for aesthetic.

#4. Arapaima
-Habitat: Inland Water, Redwoods Water, Fertile Chamber Water, Biolume Water, Sancuary Water, Sunken Forest water.
-Passive Tame
The Arapaima is one of the largest fish of the modern world and a living fossil. Arapaima prey entirely on other smaller fish, so they have no interest in humans. As such, it is commonplace to see them swimming around in the island's various bodies of freshwater, consuming fish and lazily going about their lives. Despite their size, they have high health and extremely powerful armor, meaning most predators simply leave them alone, save for those specifically adapted to taking them down. The species on the ark seems to be a bit territorial, so be careful drawing near them. Arapaima are capable of delivering a devastating headbutt, moving surprisingly fast for their size in doing so. Be warned, as the sheer strength of the bony head on this living missile is capable of not also killing a human, but knocking the wind clear out of an unprepared survivor (it can knock out a player in a single headbutt if you're not careful!). While this can cause normal dinosaurs to feel fatigued (torpid), it can cause worse effects to humans. A bad hit from an Arapaima can cause one's heart to beat irregularly, causing them to become short of breath for a long time as their heart slowly heals. Be careful around arapaima if you go by just yourself and no creature aid. However, when tamed they are great early-game aquatic mounts for the inner rivers, or ocean if you get lucky enough to find one in a river that connects to the sea. They also make excellent pond fish, as their beauty and size can relax those who view them. Lastly- Arapaima meat is extremely tasty- all of it is considered of “prime” quality. The fish are also extremely easy to breed, meaning one can create an arapaima farm and quickly farm large amounts of prime fish meat with ease, should they wish!
-EXTREMELY heavy armor- only takes 20x of all incoming damage
-Takes 10x Increased damage from piercing attacks and certain fish-eaters (Bary, Spino)
-Very slow in the wild, faster when tamed
-Arapaima are not inherently aggressive, but will become aggressive if you draw very close to them (ghillie suit is not needed, but recommended to avoid a complete nightmare and to lower your chance of being headbutted)
-Will start fleeing once they've lost around 20-30% of their health (so its easy to run from one if attacked and you for some reason cant outrun it in the water)
-Immune to bleeding/electrocution, Venom
-Left click inhaling bite. Very weak damage, but deals drastically increased damage to small fish and harvests their corpses instantly.
-Right click headbutt. Has a slight cooldown but does MUCH more damage than the bite, inflicts large amounts of torpor. Arapaima will only use this attack on players, so beware. This attack inflicts the “Irregular Heartbeat” debuff on players. This buff lasts 12 hours and is Persistant- you cannot cure it, nor get rid of it by dying or relogging from your game. This debuff will halve your current oxygen and stamina values, so be careful.

#5. Dakosaurus
-Habitat: Inland Water, Redwoods Water, Fertile Chamber Water, Biolume Water
-Tameable: Passive Tame
Dakosaurus, despite looking like a small Mosasaur, is actually a type of fully aquatic crocodile. Adapted to the island's rivers and waterways, it is able to travel between them by hauling itself on land, or sometimes clear jumping out of the water! It will often use this to snag aerial prey flying over the water, grabbing them and dragging them underwater to finish them off with a deadly deathroll. They make excellent agile water combatants, so survivors seek them out for taming and protection against Leedsichthys, as their deathrolls are a great attack against the colossal fish, and their versatility means one can go practically anywhere with a Dakosaurus and not worry. However, they are resistant to tranquilizers and far too aggressive to passive tame. Taming them requires a much more clever approach...
-To tame Dakosaurus, you must first bait it into attacking you (Beware its grab!). Draw it into shallow water (but don't beach it!) and it will become stuck and/or loose its aggression. As long as you don't enter deep water again, you can feed the dakosaurus and it wont bother you.
-Can jump out of the water like the Manta. However, unlike Manta, Dakosaurus does not take extremely huge amounts of damage from coming onto land. As such you can safely (though very slowly) haul yourself onto land and only deal with small amounts of damage at small intervals. However, be warned, as dismounting your dakosaurus on land will still kill it!
-left click bite. Instantly kills small fish and has a fast attack rate.
-Right click grab. Grabs basically anything an Argentavis can.
-C key deathroll. Best used on something in your jaws (grabbed) for maximum effect. Inflicts bleeding, and can be used as a drill-style attack on larger targets (works VERY well on leedsichthys). You cannot deathroll while jumping.
-X Key roar for aesthetic.
