Blades are meant to be thin. Making it any thicker would make it look like a club. Leave it as it is.

yeah, because we need a club instead of a sword, sure

The sword is great as it is now. Not every sword needs to be a rip-off fantasy chunk.
This game still got a (little) bit of logic into it for a sci-fi ninja game.

I think it's important to mute a few of the metallics, because I don't want to blind myself with the blade. maybe do some sort of leather wrapping on the hilt too, but that's all my opinion.

We decided to keep the thickness lighter due to the fact that it is already a very large blade (even though it is the same length as Galatine, a little longer with the pommel blade), even compared to Dragon Slayer or Zodd's weapon. I read Berserk. When I was deciding on what to have in the pictographs my buddy was drawing shapes and edges. When we settled on the edges and pictographs we also slimmed down the thickness, not only to keep it away from some of the other heavy weapons but also to keep as much as we could to Tenno faction design specs.

Agreed with Pandemonium, I was thinking that a weaving fabric over the grip would be nice, and some differentiation in the metallic used for the pommel/guard and the blade itself. Otherwise, a stunning blade, the etchings are lovely.

Anime concerns and tie-ins I leave to Triad ;). These opinions and comments are great and I really appreciate them all. Thank you all so much!

Fair enough, I personally really like the design. I was mainly referencing Berserk to bring up the fact that really thick blades can look pretty cool, although this was mainly directed towards the people saying it would look like a club if made thicker.

I was actually going to say it needs to be thicker for entirely different reasons. Like, not a whole lot thicker, but a blade that size would need to have some added thickness so that it wouldn't snap under its own weight.

@Vulpurus, True, but if you look at famous blades like Cloud's sword from Final Fantasy 7, you'll see there's a lot of thickness that doesn't have a way of holding itself up from its hilt. I don't think Warframe is any less fantastical, as sci-fi as it is. Many think this blade is too thick as it is for a Warframe weapon. Thanks for the criticism however!

I initially thought it would need thickness(5-15%) but now that i look at it again i feel like its just the lighting and large angle interval in the 3D rendering from the steam view.

i think a dark background that fully outlines its with and possibly showing thickness in relation to a warframe (held in hand), would really help show off its dimensions more clearly.
