Toon deck Feedback
I have been playing quite some time to try and make the Toon deck work but it's really unbalanced.

This deck is plagued by several problems: the cards arent strong enough to counterbalance the possible damage you get every turn, especially on the first floor where a bad roll can net you a lot of self-dmg.

You have a dead card that fills up a slot (Innate Toon World) because the millenium relic gives it baseline (I guess you put it so that you can still pick Neow's give away your relic choice).

I also feel like Toon cards aren't that diverse to begin with, they feel like normal cards with 2x stats and with a gimmick, while I'd like that they used a new mechanic or at least something more original (maybe even a bit wacky since they're toons).

I suggest some more balancing to incentivize using toon cards and to generally make them more interesting / more viable for high Ascension runs.

This feedback comes from A11 runs.

Rest assured, Toon deck is on the list to receive a complete rework, along with just about every other deck. Currently I am happy with how Naturias feel, and that is about it. Insects are in a good place and were designed similarly to Naturias, but they will still need a lot of balance tweaks I'm sure since it is so new. More content to come!

Perhaps Toons will be the next deck to be reworked. Currently Aquas are pretty unplayable though, so that might have to be first

Yeah I agree, you gave a clear identity to the Naturias, the old naturias were really one sided and not really interesting, this new iteration makes you play slowly to see the most effective order, good change.

Yep on the Aquas too, good luck in balancing and thank you for the quick response.

If anything I find them way to powerful.
A mix of Shadow toon to fill your hand and Toon magic to set all costs to 0 will give you insane turns. If you get Toon rollback in the process you're going infinite right away.
A few Toon tables of contents in your deck can make sure you get that kind of hand too.

The problem with a toon run is that if you get good enough cards to pass Floor 1 you are sure its going to be a very good run, with toons there's no mediocre.

The cards also aren't that interesting too.
Just wanted to report a bug with this mod. When playing the toon deck. The card toon kingdom still does damage to the character, instead of dealing damage to an enemy when a toon is summoned.

Happy Holidays,
