Walkthroughs
This thread is intended to be for everyone who wants to post a walkthrough. Commentaries, speedruns, whatever you like. I also post some and try to keep them up to date, if the mod gets patched.

I don't aim for a speed run or a perfect (i.e. no damage) run. My only goal is not to die and to play a chapter in one take without quicksaving on the hardest difficulty level.

Update December 2019:
Unfortunately, plays.tv has discontinued support and therefore the videos for my walkthrough are not accessible anymore. Eventually the walkthrough will be reuploaded on Youtube, but it may take some time.

Chapter 2 is now online. That was a pretty close call. I was almost killed by a survivor...

Can someone please show me a short video that explains how to use the fire extinguisher on the reactor?

at the top level press the red button on the lift to center it, press the lever below to bring the lift close to the reactor, stand on the side away from the fire, take the fire extinguisher and place it into the fire and I think you have to press the use key.

Thanks. That lever should be big and red, I didn't see it. By the way I found some shortcuts on chapter 2, maybe I'll make a video later.

Sorry, don't know how to record a video in steam and post it... went back and took another look at this section - you do not have to use the [use key = E]... replaced the cores and turned all of the red wheels to make the lights go from red to green and then the fire extinguisher was able to deploy using the previously mentioned comment. Good luck!

Oh nice! The shortcut in the cistern area gave me a "wait - what?" moment.
I am currently struggeling with chapter 3. There is shortcut I want to take, but the strafe jump is quite challenging. And since I want to record a one take, I always have to start over after 20 minutes when I fail. Maybe I get it tomorrow or I will upload a more simple solution.

Nice job of killing the turret switch in the room with the hanging soldiers. You can also stick to wall above the 2 Ichthyosaurs (not falling into the water when the railing collapses) then crouch jump onto the tube. If you are quick, in the second pool area, you can jump onto the steam vents and sprint up the ladder catching the soldiers as they are exiting the upper door or even in the hall. Look forward to seeing your efficient play through of Chapter 4!

Oh yes, this jump is currently my nightmare. I try a run boost from the railing and using the force of the explosion to exactly land IN the tube. Then I can travel with that thing to the other side, kill all HECU and then drop onto the wall separating the two chambers. From there I can drop onto the lower catwalk and complete the room without touching any water.

But there are a lot of things that must work out perfectly and I still didn't manage it without using quicksave :(

It's a fun area... I exited the door with my back against the wall walking to the left facing the coolant pond and backwards when the bridge collapses. This leaves you on the ledge, from there you can jump on to the front of the ladder ring / cage (not the ladder), make sure you are as far to the right with out falling off, turn an face the tube, sprint and crouch jump into the tube. I used my .357 to dispatch the two grunt on the lower deck and then exited on top of the steam turbines while off before sprinting up the ladder.
