So I can equip the sword to my primary weapon as a sharp shooter, but can't use the shield as my secondary or primary.

The ranger can equip either the shield or the sword to their secondary weapon slot, but can not equip either in main hand?

Am I missing something here? Also the description for high shield wall ability on the master sword says -20 resistances in game?
