You may try to go back the way you came, only to find that reality has forgotten that which was once there. You may try to rewind your spools of space and time, only to find that the tether has been severed; one who is nowhere cannot take shortcuts.

Most dire of all, upon descending from the safety of your tent, the point time saved is moved to the present. The past cannot save you from this most dire fate. Only a wish come true could return you to the lands of reality which you left behind.
